Love the PTI blog hop and Runway challenge

I made this cutie for the PTI blog hop featuring hearts.  I'm not the biggest heart kind of gal, so this die cut helped me big time :)  This is the first time I have busted out my distress reinkers and I have to say I LOVE them and will be using them again for this technique.  I used tin types background stamp set and the love die cuts.  I have a few heart elements added as well.

the coloring was all inspired by the runway inspired challenge.  I was excited to have time to play with it and really loved how this turned out.

MIM Hugs

I was happy to have some time in the stamping room to create and play today!  It was actually really fun because Izzy is hooked on a book that I started reading and she is now reading the rest to me.  I love to hear her read!

Anyway, this was made for the MIM challenge this week to make a three panel card.  I am a cas kind of girl, so that is how I rolled.  The main background panel was made with tin types background.  I don't use it enough and loved the background.  I used watercolors on this one and the next card used reinkers.  I am loving how vibrant the reinkers turend out and need to remember to use them more :)

PTI MIM homemade thickers

This was a fun project and a much needed one.  I am pumped any time I learn something that uses what I have on hand and the PTI MIM this week is one of the best.  It will be well used and loved for my MM scrapbook.  I used the new to me type strips to finish off this cutie.  The background was made with distress inks and layered stencil inking.  I had to add some newly organized bling as wekk to round out this fun one.  I am entering this into the SSS Monday inky background challenge.  It was really fun to bust these out and give them a try.

MIM and MFT fun combo

Hello week 26!!!  Yes, we are in a new year, but I am excited to be done with half of last year wahooo!!!!!  This panel is for the  PTI MIM this week to add a fun corner for a design element.  I am also entering this into the MFT color challenge.  So excited for both.

I did do another card for my Mom and Dad's anniversary, but it just didn't turn out like I imagined.  I will be taking a mulligan on this one and trying again today.  Hopefully I get that posted.

MFT card challenge

I don't know about you, but MFT was kind of off my radar for a while.  I'm not really sure why, but it was.  Then they hired Susan and started a new blog and BAM!  Here we are.  In fact I knew I had some MFT but had no idea where they went after the big craft room switch that happened a few months ago, but we now have all of the sets located and organized so that we can find them again.  Another bonus, the girls LOVE these pure innocense stamps and want to order more.  Love it when they get involved and Dad picks up the crafting tab LOL!!!

This is for the MFT sketch challenge found here.  This is for a 13 year old little girl that was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  It is the superintendent's daughter and it has really hit all of us hard.  Cece picked this one and we then paired it with the new PTI hugs set.  I think that one is great for so many cards!  It is the new never leaving the desk staple in my craft room LOL!

MIM Catch up week

Well hello long time without posting.  We have been crafting/creating powerhouses over here.  We made a TON of Betsy's ornaments for all of the teachers/dance teachers/librarians/horse caregiver (seriously it was like 45 ornaments!).  Izzy also did a lot of hand painted masterpieces.   She is really getting into creating and crafting.

Sense we have a throw back MIM challenge at PTI, I thought I would enter a throw back project that was never entered.  Can you even bellieve we are done with half of the school year?  I am just now scrapping my MIM book for July.  It is kind of fun to remember all of the warm things we did this year during the cold winter.

We made these fun tags and gifts for all of teachers in Izzy's school (yeah we give to all of her teachers, office staff, assistants basically anyone who she ever talks too LOL!).  We found great jars at Michaels and put water mix ups in them for everyone.

This was totally inspired by Laura's MIM about mixing background paste.  I LOVED how she created the stencil using the alphabet dies.  Really added a lot to the projects.  This is one the WHOLE family loved.  On that note, I am doing a new one for the MM week introduction page so there will be a new one done as well.  We only enter one a challenge now, so I might put it here, but it won't be official.  Have a great new year!

It's a good life!
