I am thankful to be stamping today! Cece has been sleeping great in the afternoons, so Izzy and I had some good stamping time tonight. What a fun day! This beauty is for the Vival La Verve and ColorQ challenges.

Okay just looking at the stack of unloved stamps has me using some of these. I really don't want to list all of the unloved stamps I have LOL! I think this fun circle background stamp from PTI might be a new favorite of mine, look out LOL!

Make It Monday Shaker Cards

Make it Mondays is back here at my blog. I'm really not sure the last time I made a shaker card. I LOVED Heather's new take on it and using the dies really helped. What I learned is that for whatever reason, I need 2 layers of foam (I think I used really big fillers, but it was all I had). So, this is the shaker that really dosen't shake.

This beauty was also for the SFYTT challenge. This is my second one for the month. I seem to be sketch challenged recently and I have a hard time following them LOL! Here is the origional sketch.

Can you see the resembilance? I had a hard time with the vertical piece because I didn't want to cover up those cutie birds LOL!

I made this for Logan's birthday card. Since Izzy has dubbed this the non shake card, I will probably be remaking it so it shakes LOL! I have a few more posts this weekend. One of the fun posts will be my uninked sets. I have a PTI penpal Anna and we are going to be challenging each other to create with unloved sets. She already has her list up and I know my first challenge set for her, but I need to get my list up.

I am back with this fun cutie, it is for the less is more onelayer bird card. I am hoping this one will count, it was super cute to put together. I like how the young chicks are walking on the words. I thought of my college years and how our paretns were only a smile away :) The clean and simple card class talked about whie space, so this card is for that as well.

I am so excited to be able to share a fun card with you today. This cutie was made for a few challenges. First the CASE Study challenge site where I was in top three, wahooo! The colors came from the color throwdown challenge and lastly the scketch is from the clean and simple class.

I tooks this picture this morning without a lot of good light, sorry about that. Loving the negative space concept. I really haven't played around with that a lot, but I am looking forward to the opportunity!

Celebrate the occaision children's birthday's

I read the challenge on celebrate the occasion's blog children's birthdays and knew I had to make the last of the goodies from my daughter's birthday. I have had the pieces in a pile just waiting. We are going to use the left overs for gifts for some of her new friends parties that didn't come to her party. How about that for recycling LOL! Here is the card, we designed it to look like fingernail polish.

Here is the card and gift set. We put a lot of writing things in it since that is one of Izzy's big things.

New little one CASE Study

Okay, I was a little abstract in my inspiration from Case study this week. I loved the card that was the case, it was bright and white, but I also loved all of the singular balloon elements. My card has a lot of black space instead of white and a fun hear made out of hearts. I kept the sentiment on the bottom like the origional. I am also adding this to the simon says something new challenge since this is for a new baby.

Cece is having a fit, so I have to go.

I am happy to have more to share with you today. Acutally I got about 7 cards done last night, but they aren't photographed, so I should have fun things going on for a while. This one is for the Runway inspired challenge. I loved the stripes, which inpired the pattern paper. The edges are roughed up for the disressed edges Make it Monday challenge.
Not sure if you are interested, but I found a way that works for my birthday card adventure. I have a work group and a home group that I am hoping to send out to. When I make one card, I make another one using similar supplies for a birthday card. So far it seems to have made me more creative with the supplies that I already have out.

Hello Saturday! It has been hectic here this week, something about short work week that makes it seemed rushed. On a great note Izzy is back to a good routine and Cece is loving her new swim lessons.

Basic Grey / PTI fun!

Izzy is loving the newly found Oliva line. She cuts out all of the little critters and then we make cards with them. She cut out 3 12X12 pages of animals today. I will have to take a picture of the box LOL! This is for the Simon Says challenge, the basic grey challenge and the PIT make it Monday challenge.
Here is the front of my card using Basic Grey paper from the Oliva line. I also used score tape for the strips of glitter.

This is for Dawn's Make it Monday #3. The inside is a surprise.

I got one more done today, but I'm not sure it will be up tonight. I didn't get very far in my quest to get the birthday cards stack done. Maybe I will have time throughout the week.

Basic Grey/ Simon Says Challenge

Happy Monday everyone! I have been off for three days now, how fun is that? The best thing is Randy has been off as well, which is oddly wonderful for our family. We are loving the new schedule.

I have this beauty for two challenges. One is the basic grey challenge site and the other is the Simon Says anything goes challenge site.

I have quite a few cards that I made yesterday with Basic Grey. It feels really good to make some cute things with my stash. My daughter is also obsessed with cutting out all of the little animals in 3 of the papers, so it keeps her busy working away as well.

Hopefully I will get a few more posted today since I am sure that the rest of the week will be sketchy.

New Year, New Goals

Okay, so I have been thinking all day, well really for the past few weeks, about what my goals should be for the new year. One of my crafting goals is to use what I have! I know this gets said a lot this time of year, but really it is madness around here LOL! Now, I am not one of those who is going to stop purchasing new things, but I am really trying to challenge myself to figure it out with what I have first.

On that note, I was so excited to find a new challenge site that is all about using Baisc Grey. I must tell you I have stacks and stacks of paper that needs to get used up and Basic Grey is one of my favorites, so this is going to be a great one for me this year. Here is my card.

I combined this with the Case Study challenge this week. I have watched this site for a while, but I think this is the first time I have particiaipted. I am so excited, maybe I will be albe to do more in the future.

Last one of the day, then it is off to the parties LOL! Well, I wanted to give the Less is More challenge site another try. Apparently my last one didn't fit in with their objectives. It was pretty easy to make, but who knows :) This week the challenge was to make a card with only one word. Here is my card

I might try and take another picture. The colors aren't quite right on this one. Anyway, I took some soft stone and then embossed with the wood grain impression plate. The word peace was just what I needed today. Peace is a big prayer for our family right now. I pray that we can call down and enjoy this fabulous season with a sense of peace and calm.

Runway Inspired

This is a fun one this week from Runway inspired. I really liked the colors and fabric pattern. Here is what I came up with.

This is the fist time I busted out Modern Basics from PTI and I am so glad that I did. It is going to be a new favorite! I can't get the colors to photograph correctly, it really is greeen galore, crushed curry and concord grape. Oh, well! I hope you enjoy it! The white embossing powder really helped everything pop.

Well I was super happy to get this done, but I did get it done. I must say I did emboss with clear embossing powder after all of the comments about the copics getting ruined, so it is not as crisp as other cards.

I was really inspired by the yellow and the glammer. I tried to have the banner element done with glitter and then I tried to stamp over it with staz on ink, but it didn't work out like it did on the video. I still had a great time with it.

I made this cutie for the Simon Says anything goes challenge. Do you ever have a hard time creating with free stamps? I didn't think I would, but the stamp sets we got from PTI at stamp a faire are for some reason hard for me to create with.

Here is what I came up with. Katie if you are reading this, maybe you should give these sets away to Donna :) I would love to hear what you think about creating with free stamp sets? I am the only one who has a hard time????

Fun challenge Thank You

I seem to be a weekend stamper no of days. I adore getting my creative mojo on, so I am trying to carve out some more time. This card is for the Color Q challenge and the Celebrate the Occasions challenge.

I used a bunch of distress inks on this water color paper, I used wild honey, ornage marmaliade, fire engine red and frayed burlap. I used the Mhendi Motif set from PTI and then spritzed with water. I really like the effect on watercolor paper, so that was a lot of fun.

For the celebrate the occasions challenge it was to make a thanksgiving card with a button. Of course Thanksgiving is over, so I went with a thank you card and added a scarlet jewel button for the darker red element.

Hopefully you will see me back again today, I would like to get some more cards done.

I found a new challenge blog and I am giving it a try called Celebrate the Occasion. This week it was to make a Fall card with a pumpkin. I was super inspired by Dawn's Gratitude set and decided to make a Gratitude Journal for all of the girls I work with. It will be a year in December and I wanted a way to thank them. Well I must say that fall back is my favorite day! I love finding an extra hour. This morning, Izzy is singing at the church where she goes to pre shcool. I should be there and would love to be there, but Cece is upstairs sleeping LOL! So instead, I was able to finish up a card and get it posted here.

I just saw that the challenge this week at the Simon Says blog is to use buttons. Fortunately I had a project I have been working on to try and figure out. It is a spinner card inside the card. The buttons are tricky to see, but needed to make this beauty work. My girls are blessedly still sleeping so I had time to go up and finish this project.
Here is the inside, do you see the buttons on the top and bottom of the straw? The hearts actually twirl and move.

I got out the watercolor paper and my Izzy wanted to help out. Here is her creation. We are actually giving this to my Mom for her birthday. Who wouldn't want an Izzy origional.

Can you even believe I got this cutie done without waiting until Sunday? I might even have time to whip up anohter one. We will see. The challenge this week was to do a fun brayer technique. I'm not sure which side I was supposed to use, so I used the side with the indents pointing towards the back. It was a lot of fun and I already have an idea for another one.

Welcome to another fun PTI blog hop. This was a tricky one for me for some reason. We are in full Halloween mode around here, so I wanted to try my Halloween set that I got this year. Then I thought that the challenge was more a Thanksgiving theme and I went with the pumpkin looking treat bag die.

Here is my project

I have to admit I am a little dissapointed with this one. It looks like a tomatoe to me. What the heck. I tried to have different patterns in my pumpkin like the inspiration photo and that part I did like. I think it was the shape that didn't wow me. Anyway we are deep in the throws of pumpkin carving, so I need to go.

It is make it Monday around here, but as always I am able to get it done and up on Sunday. Acutally the sad part is I usually have them done on Tuesday, but I don't seem to have time until Sunday to get them here.

I just got this stamp set from the buy/sell/trade section at the PTI fourum. I have sold some unloved sets there and I have found some great buys there as well. I was able to pick up grunge me and it was so much fun to see that cutie show up at my door.

As tradition holds, this is a Make it Sunday kind of challenge for me. I adore PTI and love the video challenges they have been doing. I just can't get enough! My only "regret" is that I don't get to them quicker in the week. Here is my creation

Now I must say Nicole's idea about making wasaibi tape was FABULOUS!!!!! Really she needs to bottle up that geneious and sell it to the common people LOL! My issue is, I don't have the thick score tape or white tissue paper oh the horror!

But, you can't keep a good crafter down, so I called on Izzy for some help. Recently she used some colored tissue paper to make some pretty flowers and she had some extra in her crafting basket. She graciously shared with me. I then applied the color tissue paper to my 1/4 in score tape and then used the half and half stamps to add PTI goodness to the tissue paper with fresh snow ink.

I feel like it has been forever since I was able to play with the colour Q challenge. I finally had some time today. I had to also share Izzy's card that she created with some of the challenge colors as well.

We are totally cat crazy around here after she earned her baby kitten for her birthday, so that is the only one that made it to the card for her LOL! Here is my card

This is the first time for me using a lot of these little cuties. I am loving this set in a major way! I can't wait to create more for Izzy's kids this year with this fun set. LOVE IT!!!!

My goal is to upload for a few days in a row. I am not sure that this will be accomplished, but everyone needs a goal :)

I am trying to decide if I should keep this stamp set and die from PTI, for some reason, I have a hard time working well with it. This was one of the cards I made in an attempt to use it. This is one of my submissions for the Simon Says Anything goes challenge.

I have another beauty for the Simon Says challenge. After taking the Inspiration Showcase class with Jennifer McGuire I am loving getting inky and all of those fabulous techniques. This is another 2 of them.

What do you think? I first dry embossed the background and then smeared ink all over it. The baloons were stamped onto water color paper and then I applied distress ink and spritzed with water. Tons of great color movement and fun.

2 posts in the same day? I know it is madness LOL! This is for the Simon Says challenge I used dies on the flower, they are from papertreyink. I cut them out of the sticky pack canvas and then painted them with claudine helmouth paint. LOVE that!

I am a day earlier than I normally am and it is fabulous! Do any of you make cards for different challenges and then not get them uploaded/posted in time? That seems to be a theme of mine lately. The beneifit to that is that I have a stack of cute cards LOL!

I made this beauty for Make it Monday, frosted images challenge and the Color Q challenge. I LOVE that one, but don't get to play along as much as I would like.

Didn't the frosted technique turn out fun? I took the technique class from Jennifer McGuire recetnly and I must say I have a new love of smearing and getting all kinds of inky when creating. This technique lent itself well to that also, so it was a blast. I used the soft stone paper for the center piece and like the subtle results I had with the frosting.

I stamped all of my flowers from PTI in the challenge colors and then stamped fresh snow right over it and then smeared. It really was so easy and fun.

Who am I kidding, I am glad I made it at all! I have been watching the inspiration showcase by Jennifer McGuire, WOW! If they offer it again or any other class run to sign up, it is that good people!!!!

Okay for this week I combined the Papertreyink Make it Monday challenge from last week about stamping with paint. I also did one of the resist techniques that Jennifer taught. Super fun.

I'm not going to to into all of the supplies for the card. All of the inks are ranger distress. That is one of the things I love about Jennifer, she makes getting inky and messy not only okay, but a whole lot of fun. I also like that after Izzy's 5th birthday party on Saturday I was able to go upstairs and play and make tons of backgrounds that I already have tons of ideas for how to finish.

School Time

Well I am back with another one today LOL! Isn't that crazy, a huge drought and then two in one day. This is super fun. Okay, I am not sure how I found this great challnege, but here it is Unity KOTM Sketch Challenge . Okay you get to pick out a free KOTM and 100 free Unity stamps as well, can you say CRAZY FUN???? Here is my take on the sketch.

It opens up, so I took another picture without me holding it shut.

I am planning on giving this to Izzy's new teacher for the new pre school year. It really turned out perfect for that. All of the stamps are from the August KOTM, not sure from what year, but not this one LOL! I stamped the trees right onto the blue paper and then colored it with my copic markers. I also added a little glitter gel pen to add a pop of fun with the bell in the school house.

I first and foremost need to appologize, I think Sundays are about the only for sure time for me to post. I LOVE creating and still do it quite a bit, but posting is a whole other thing LOL! Thankfully I have been able to work on the Make it Monday challenge. Here is my card

There was something really freeing about purposely coloring outside of the lines. If you have never tried this, I would recommend this greatly!

I am so happy to have had some time to make a fun card and get it uploaded as well. I have no idea why, but I kept getting really odd angles with this card when I was taking pictures with it, Oh well.

I made this for three challenges this week. It is for PTI's make it monday challenge, CASual Friday/Clean and Simple sketch challenge and the color challenge from Colour Q. Does it get any better?

I really like how the colors just popped off the page with this one. I then added 2 of the hand colored ribbons and the button as a focal accent. The ribbon was made by coloring with copic markers. The only thing I realized is that I don't have a plain old ruler in my craft room. Really, how could that be when I have every other gadget under the moon LOL!

Cupcake Cutie

Well, it seems my little cupcake cutie card is all the rage LOL! I was blessed to have it spotlighted on the splitcoast stampers facebook page. Here it is

I started with a die cut baby onsie from the PTI die. I then took cupcake liners and cut the round portion off and then cut the top part in half. I used score tape to attach the cupcake liners to the onsie. I attached the ribbon and then made the little flower accents out of the liner as well. I added the rinestones as fun accents.

Oh, the sentiment was done with versa mark and white embossing powder. It added a nice touch.

I cheated a little, I used tons of fun glue dots to make this colorful and sparkly card. I also used some score tape to add sparkle and glimmer to this cutie.

Make it Monday teamwork

Yet again, we are Making it Monday on Saturday LOL! For this one I combined a few challenges and I had help from Izzy. First and foremost, I used the Make it Monday challenge from Papertreyink. This week we were challenged to use diminishing appetures (I am sure that is not spelled correctly, but I will link PTI's site up.). I combined that with the Clean and Simple sketch challenge and the Dirty Girls challenges that are going on right now. Crazy huh!

Without further ado, here is my beauty

Can you see where Izzy helped out? She colored the background and had a blast doing it. I used the limitless layers lager size dies to cut out the center piece. My only thing I am working through with this technique is how my cutting plates are leaving lines on my paper. If anyone has any tips on that I would appreciate it.

Also, if any of you ladies knows a stampin up demo in the Coal City area, I would love to have their info.

It's a girl!

No, I didn't have a girl, but my sister had anotehr babay. My new niece is named Caroline Grace and she is a cutie. I do have to admit that I haven't even been shopping for the new little lovely yet, but we do have the card made LOL! We are going over there as a family later this week, so we will have it together by then.

This is a pretty easy card. I just punched a bunch of patterned paper pieces and then die cute the center element. The writing is my own and the sticker letter and paper ar all from Basic Grey.

I thought I would also share some of our summer fun as well

Here we are ready to go to our first soccer practice. "Coach Terri" and Izzy, yeah you read that right I am now a soccer coach :) Needless to say the stamping time has been limited. Hoping it will help my waist line in the 100+ degree heat.

Lastly, I was blessed to get a ticked to Stamp a Fair with Papertrey Ink a few weeks ago. My cousin and I went and had the best time! When I came home, here was my little unpacking helper LOL! Someone was apparently wanting to check out all of the goods.

How fun is that? It is a great set from Taylored Expressions called Sweet Celebration. My daughter LOVES it and I think it works for little boy as well. The color combo and sketch is from Summer Camp. I am selfishly hoping they do this more than just at summer time. It has been worth the money. It is like getting a glimpse into how some of the greats create and apply their eye to the color combo.

I will be back with more, Izzy has a creation for the summer camp I need to upload as well!

I am back with another fun colorful card. I used this great inspiration from Summer Camp. I love it, if they do this again, jump on this ladies, it is a ton of fun.

Here is my creation

How fun is this? I first stamped the flower from baby button bits. I won this beauty! I have been eyeing this stamp set for a few years now and it is finally home LOL! I am also entering this beauty in the Moxie Fab World Challenge,tons of fun around here!

I colored it with copics. I thouht it worked with the colors well. The sentiment tag was masked and then colored. Izzy has made a few cards that I will share with everyone tomorrow. Hopefully I will have at least one more tomorrow as well.

Getting a lift

Hello everyone! I am so excited this morning. I have two new project published! One in papercrafts magazine and one in cards magazine. Although now I have to wait for a few months LOL!

I must admit that I have become a blogging slacker. I have gotten out of the habit of being detailed about supplies on the blog. I apprecaite everyone who comes and comments. Do you think that is important?

I can definetaley start this again if this is something that is helpful and importnat to you. We are off to the water park today. We were supposed to go to Minot, ND this week, but they are in the middle of a flood, so we have had a staycation. It has been a lot of fun accomplishing Izzy's list of must dos. I will try and post that later this weekend.

Summer Camp fun!!!!

So, isn't this fun? I missed last week, but I am so excited to be participating in this week's challenge. I am not quite sure how it all works yet, but I am loving all of the fun inspiration. Here is my take on the color challenge.

This is for a co-worker's birthday. I added a little bling for some fun contrast. I also broke out my PTI buttons, they look like flowers to me. It was a great way to get the colors I needed. I love this set from PTI Modern Basics. I am entering this into the stamping challnge at Moxie Fab World as well.

Well, It has been too long. Can you beleive it is June already? Cece had her first birthday and party this last weekend, so we have been busy in our world. I also have 2 cards that got accepted in the A year In Cards magazine/book put out by papercrafts!!!!! I was over the moon excited about that.

Wasn't that a fun little number. I love how bright and vivid it is. How's that for some summer fun!

Sympathy PTI Style

Okay, the make it Monday challenge was to make a sympathy card. (It was really to make a sympathy card with a splash of bright colors. I did do that, but the camera battery is out, so this one I made before that will have to do LOL)
I really liked how this one turned out. I used some basic grey pattern paper for a background. Can you even believe that this was from a Christmas paper pack? I love when you can use paper for any season. The sentiment is from with sympathy stamped on a mat stack #5 die cut. Love this die. I spounged all of it with the tea die ink and then used the chocolate satin ribbon from PTI to put this all together.

Pattern Paper

At times I strugle with pattern paper sometimes. I love it so much (as evidence of my HUGE stack in my room), but I don't always know how or think of how to incorporate it. Lately I have been noticing that people are using to to cover the fronts of their cards completely.

It is make it Monday here on my blog. Can I just say PTI does make my Mondays shine. This week the challenge was to use heat embossing. Here is my card

I heat embossed the sentiment. This was a fun patriotic card that I whipped up for a fun service man. I am think it should be navy guy, don't ask me why LOL! I really do feel quite blessed that there are those who are willing to leave their families and our country to ensure our freedom. I used PTI's signature greetings stamp set and some paper from basicgrey.

Make It Mondays

Okay in this house it is more like make it Sundays LOL! Izzy and I are on a bend in the stamping room. I am working on organization big time along with going through all of my PTI stamps and putting them in a organization system. While on this mission, I stamped out my Out on a limb stamp set. Today we baptized my niece Ellie and I didn't have a card for her, so this worked perfectly! Out on a limb is one of those sets that I was so excited to get and then before I even busted it out they decided to remake it with the sentiments 25% bigger. Instead of using what I had I just put it away. I tell you, if I ever do win a stamp set from PTI, I will get the sentiments for sure. There are some gems there and I think it really works for a baptism. The challenge of this week was to color with copics on colored cardstock. I used the leaf outline and then colored with 3 different green copic markers. It was fun and I really liked my end result. I did use versa mark and polks dots basics to add some fun to the background. It's a good life! Terri E.

Wouldn't it be great if that was really the theme of our lives? My hubby has been away at an outage and it has surely not been easy peasy around here LOL! This little one my daughter took in a heart beat and sent to one of her little friends. Knowing Izzy it is up in her room still LOL! Have a great one. Oh, if you haven't listened to the PTI podcast I would encourage you to do that. They had a segment on organizing your stamps that was super interesting. Leah said she stamps every image right as she gets it. It allows her to see exactly what she has and how they will stamp for her and it also allows her to get them inky and get ideas flowing. I have cough *a lot*, but I did start this and as I was doing it I just had to stop and make two cards. How fun is that? Actually I liked them so much that I wanted to keep them and send them out for a publication call. Crazy! It's a good life! Terri E.

Well, it has been a HUGE work week and the first week of Randy's outage. WOWZIERS, I have been super overwhelmed and that means not much time to stamp. Well I did get to two challenges. The first is the SFYTT challenge.

I have a fun card to share today. I made this a while ago and I am so happy to be able to share it here today. This is for my bible study girls. It is my mission to give each of them a card that has my special prayer for them.

Make it Monday take 2

Okay I just had to try using the fun foam as a stamp. It was interesting. The ink seemed to soad into the foam and it took quite some time to dry on my card, but it worked okay. Here is my card I really like the font on this stamp set everyday blessings. It was from the free set from a few years ago. I added the fun foam on top of the flowers and then added the buttons as well.
