Hoppy Birthday

Okay I am super excited about this fun card. I don't know if any of you are like me, but I learn really neat techniques and then seem to forget about them. Well this week on Stamp TV, they are going over spotlighting. I learned this a long time ago and haven't used it in a while. I LOVE it and it worked well for me with this CPS sketch found here.
Here is my card

As you can see, I flipped the sketch around, but I really like the effect. This is for a Stephen's birthday. He is a little boy that we know and I think he would get a kick out of this. I really like my copics and I have been taking a class with them. One of my favorite things is creating scenes. I have had a hard time with that and the copics. I don't know how to make a background work for me. I think perhaps the answer is an airbrush system LOL! Anyway, this technique allowed me some freedom with that problem.
Gina did the circles a bit differently, but I was always taught to layer with a black circle just a bit bigger than the cut out. I used two punches for the little circles and nesties for the center spot. I really like the effect and I think Stephen will adore this fun card.

It's a good life!
