It is a current trend to see just how "green" you can be with your contributions to a cleaner environment. We want to focus this month on reusing & recycling portions of your newly arrived Papertrey order in an earth-friendly way! This month your challenge is to reuse, repurpose or recycle packaging from your Papertrey Package. Whether it is the clear boxes that the stamps come in, the tissue that is used to wrap each item so carefully, the brown packing paper that keeps your items from shifting, the corrugated cardboard wrapped around the ends of your precious cardstock or even the shipping box itself. We will be excited to see all the clever ways to incorporate any of these items into a beautifully executed project. And just to serve as a little friendly nudge, you just *may* want to hold onto everything from your package this month regardless if you use it on your project or not, just so you can recreate what others have done!
So this was a hard month for me. I have no idea why, but it sure was. I am so excited to see what everyone else did! The first picture is a tag I made for Christmas presents. LOVE Dawn's set Signature Christmas with the Christmas sayings - too stinking cute for words!
The second tag I made is for Easter dinner. Okay, so I used the fun plastic containers that our stamps come in. I cut out the lable shapes using my nesties and then stamped accordingly with Staz on Black ink. I then flipped over the plastic piece and used my Alcohol inks to spread the colors around. The top card was so hard to get the colors to show through. I used the gold mixative so it is so shimmery in real life, but the colors looked muddled when I took them.
I did have to use my sharpie to write the names, but it was actually quite fun to do. I also backed the tags with white so that the color showed through nicely.
It's a good life!
