Here is the front. I used blue since I had that on hand, but it will be raspberry fizz if it is a girl LOL! The sentiment is from the tiny valentines set. I was going to put a regular button, but the shipping would be crazy on the 100 that I have to do, so the felt was a great solution. I cut out a 1" circle and then stiched the center. It was harder than I thought it would be to stich through the felt. If you have any suggestions on how to do that easier, I would love to hear!!!!!
This is the inside
It is a die from Stampin Up, but not sure of the name of it. It is a pop up and we are going to put a picture of just the new baby so that everyone will have a wallet picture. The blank space will be printed on white with all of the new baby details when we know them LOL!
I can't wait to see all of the fabulous creations!
It's a good life!

ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing announcement! The recipients will be thrilled! Congratulations on your expected arrival - and all the best to you and your family as you welcome a new little one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea for a baby announcement! The pop up die (I can't remember the name of the die either) is perfect for this. And the felt "button" is brilliant - much easier to mail than an real button. As for the sewing through felt, a thimble helps quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteVery clever pop-up! That is so cute! I love the photo that you used on the front!
ReplyDeleteHow creative, I love this!

ReplyDeleteSo cute!! The felt is a great idea instead of a button for shipping. Smart!
ReplyDeleteCongrats and Good Luck on the new baby coming.
Good gravy! Those will be the cutest announcements ever! :) Did you try punching or piercing the felt before sewing? Not sure either would help much, but might be worth a try with so many to do!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your c-section too! We had a c & didn't know the sex either- it was so fun- and it seemed like the c-section team thought so too! Such a happy surprise! Can't wait to hear if it's rasberry fizz or hawaiian shores!
HUGE but AMAZING project! Adorable!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Great idea with the pop up.
ReplyDeleteSUCH a cute announcement idea, and using felt as the button is a great mail-friendly solution - TFS! As for sewing, would the Fiskar (and other brands) hand-held hole punches cut thru the felt easily? They'd look like button holes and you could sew thru with NO issues!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your upcoming addition to the family!
Adorable idea and baby!
ReplyDeleteVery clever. They're going to be a great way to introduce your new little one. Best wishes for a safe delivery.
