Another thing I am thankful for is PTI's blog hop. I love getting a glimpse at everyone and how stinking creative this group is. This month we were challenged to make holiday tags. I am almost done with all of my Christmas shopping, so I have left to do is make the homemade gifts. I thought I would share some of that today. Since it is Thanksgiving, I am going to focus on the pictures and get to the family LOL!
Here is my gift for Amy my sister in law. I am actually busting out 10 of these fabulous birthday calendars for holiday gifts. How fun is that?
The cutie saddle stich flower was an idea that I learned from Laurie. You really need to check out the video, they are super fun to make.
Another fun tip, the insides come scored for you at 4 in. I found that things fit better in them if I also score at 4 1/8 and fold accordingly.
Here is how I decorated the inside
I know that PTI has a die that works with this, but try as I might, I just can't buy all of the dies so this is a stampin up punch called designer label large and it is a beauty as well.
The finished gift. I used packing paper from PTI for the wrapping paper. I didn't have anything else neutral, so it worked great. I also LOVE Stampin Up's big striped ribbon. It worked so well for this gift. Last but not least, the tag LOL!
Okay I have decided that I am not going to order until after the blog hops each month. That way I can get the dies when they get restocked. I realize that I need the tag dies and the circle dies as well, so I am on the hunt. In the mean time, the #3 Mat stack die worked well for me. I used a tag from the 09 set I think. Love this cutie. Have a blessed day! I will come in later and give all of the details.
It's a good life!
