Wishing You

Don't forget about the chance to win Papertrey Ink's Background Basics: Retro. Get the details here.

First of all, I love this new set Wishing You from Papertrey Ink. Every time I have an idea in my head for a card this set pops up. It is just so cute and versitle! As you may know I am on a crusade to not only make birthday cards for all of my family this year, but actually send them out! Isn't that novel, it has only taken me 5 years to come to this conclusion LOL! So here I am plodding along done with all my cards through middle of May and then BAM. I get an e-mail reminder about a college friend that I didn't have in my written list. Needless to say I am so grateful for the e-mail reminder.

I saw this fun sketch at the OCC blog .

Here is my take on the sketch.
I really love the new Pink Flamingo dsp from SU, so I decided to use that as well. Does it get any better than these wonderful colors? I also never really thought about stampin on dsp, but a few days ago PTI had a blog hop and I saw that someone had done just that. It really got me thinking, so I decided to give it a try. I am pleased with the results. What do you think?

Another observation, since the Stamp TV epsidoe about nestabilities I have finally figured out how to use those darn things. Now I realize that I really NEED the oval set. I'm not sure how I lived without them for so long LOL!

It's a good life!
Terri E.
