True Friends

Don't forget about the chance to win Papertrey Ink's Background Basics: Retro. Get the details here.

I had no intentions of posting twice today, but I was like a posessed woman last night. I had so much fun making cards this week and I also sold 2 houses. Isn't that fun! Have you ever been surfing and thinking about your list of people you need to make cards for and then BAM an idea you can't let go of. Well this is what happened to me tonight.

I was looking around and I saw the new inspiration challenge from Kristen Werner #47. As I was thinking about the colors I remembered another thing I learned at the PTI blog hop. I had no idea the really small circle piece fit into the fun line and funky stamp. Then I saw Julie Koerber's case challenge and this card and I couldn't let this card idea go. Needless to say I was stamping until 10:30 pm last night. Thankfully Randy is on afternoons this week, so it wasn't a problem at all.

Here is my take on the card.
I made this for my good friend Missie. She has been going through a tough patch and it seems that God used an acorn to answer some prayers. Isn't it amazing that God can use anything for his purpose to fufill his plan! He is so amazing.

Back to the card. I love punny valentine from Papertrey Ink. It is just the most fun set and it is so darn versatile. This little squirl is the cutest ever. I also really like how the dsp I made turned out. I didn't even love making my own dsp until Papertrey Ink came around. Pre PTI, I would look for dsp with the colors I needed, now I just make my own! It is also making one page cards so much easier. It is hard to see, but I do have score lines on both sides of the ribbon.

It's a good life!
Terri E.
