I am so excited to be writing this post today. The whole new month of Verve releases came yesterday and I was able to put together some cards today. I'm not sure if I was supposed to have cards out with the new goodies yet as I am not a Verve Diva, but I just couldn't put it down LOL! Hopefully I didn't break the law.
I have never been able to order an entire release that any company has, so it was AWESOME when the package came in. I just had to grab my camera and take a shot of all of them. Isn't that NEAT! I haven't used all of them, but I can tell you right now the ones I have are already on my fav list!
I combined the Color Throwdown challenge this week with the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. When I first saw these colors I thought no way would I be able to make a card with these. Well after I slept on it I and got the new Verve, I was ready to go.

Here is my card
I am LOVING this combo. Who would have known LOL! Well I had a lot of ideas swirling around when I saw the sketch. I really like the negative space left from using the top notes die. I paper pierced around the cut out, but it is hard to see in this picture. I also stamped Fifth Ave Floral in the background paper with black, melon mambo and crushed curry ink.
Okay I have had this butterfly die from Stampin Up for a while and I finlly broke it out. I still don't have it figured out, but I will keep at it. I really like how it turned out. Did you notice the fun design on the butterflies? That is all stamped with a new Verve stamp set called Bountiful Backgrounds. I LOVE IT!!!! The black was embossed with clear embossing powder. The mambo was stamped with snow white ink and the curry was stamped with curry ink. I really like how everything poped. The bling was a fun accent as well. Oh and the fun sentiment is from that same stamp set. You will be seeing this one a lot in the next few days. I can't seem to put it down.

How exciting to win a whole collection like that. I do love Verve stamps, but I am on a limited stamp budget and just can't seem to get everything I would love to have. Thanks for visiting my blog. Wouldn't it be fun to be on some of these DT around here to work for stamps?
ReplyDeleteI think you TOTALLY pulled off the 2 combos! Well, I'm a bit of a butterfly girl myself so this is just a given for me! Love it!!!
