Sending my Love

I made this card for a CPS sketch and I never submitted for some reason. This is not the current sketch, but I still like the fun card. Here is the sketch
This is my version.
I was lucky enough to win a free stamp set from There She Goes a while back and I really like this image. This is going to a fun friend out of the area. I really am trying to get better about sending cards to let loved ones know when I am thinking of them. I used nesties and ribbon as fun accents on this card.

Go out on a limb

I finally got a chance to use my There She Goes stamp set that I won called Branching Out. It is so much fun. I love the envelopes and the fun trendy image I used on my tree for today. As always I combined some challenges :) I am addicted to challenges. It is a ton of fun to create and then go back and see what everyone else comes up with using the same criteria.

So I finally was able to particiapte in my first My Time to Create challenge by Lauren Meader. You all know I adore her and now she is having different challenges every week. Isn't she stinking fun! I also had time to use the Card Positioning Systems #113 sketch. I also entered this into to Cardvarks challenge to create something with a tree.

Here is my take on the challenges
It has been raining here for what seems like years, so this is the best picture I could get. The other thing that was frustrating is that when I watercolored on watercolor paper my ink kept veering off the image. I was not happy about this. So for all of you watercolorers, what is the secret? I love the look, but I don't love how long it takes and then when it bleeds it makes me really cranky LOL! Any tips or tricks or websites that you know of that can help would be really appreciated.

I wasn't sure about this color combo, but after digging into it I really do like it. I am also in love with the new background set form Papertrey Ink called Background Basics: Dots and Spots. I am sure we will be seeing that one again! I love the zig zag shape of the main image and I also adore how it worked with the sketch perfectly.

On to the card, I adore the fun sentiment. Isn't that so true for many of us. Taking that first step, that leap of faith is hard and sometimes painful. There are times when you are in the thick of life that it is hard to see that the fruit is there and it will be there for us. I hope everyone has the best day and if you have sunshine where you are soak up some for me LOL!

It's a good life!

Some days

Don't forget about the chance to win Papertrey Ink's Background Basics: Retro. Get the details here.

I am so please to finally get a hold of some There She Goes stamp sets. We have a lot of layoffs happening here and it is so hard for me to find the right things to say to those guys. I am loving the LOL Taglines set. The image and saying that I used for this card are perfect for that guy that is having a hard time.

They are also having a neat going away party for 4 of their trendsetters. All you have to do is look in their gallery for a card that you would like to case. Well I was checking out Bev's gallery and I found this card. I loved the layout and thought it would be perfect for the hydrant image and saying. I changed the stamps, color and added some paper piercing.

What do you think? I really like the masculine feel. It would give me an opportunity to show I care without embarrising them with my usual colors and flowers. You will be seeing this image again! I also really liked how the polka-dot ribbon goes with the dots in the dsp. It is hard to see, but there is also paper piercing on each red layer, it really grounds the card.

It's a good life!

There She Goes

Don't forget about the chance to win Papertrey Ink's Background Basics: Retro. Get the details here.

Well this was a fun challenge from There She Goes is having a going away party. For some of their designers. The challenge is to go into the gallery of some of the trendsetters and case a card. Well I have already done a card from Stephaine and I loved it, so I went to look at Wendy's gallery. Here is the fabulous card I worked from. I just got my first set from There She Goes, so I will have new stamps for the last 2 trendsetters cases.

I am still into bright colors after Dawn's color challenge, so I stayed bright. I also didn't have the cuttlebug folder that Wendy used on her card, but I really liked the texture on the bottom so I whipped out my scor pal. I changed the stamp also.

This cupcake is from the Everyday Classics stamp set that is a limited edition set from Papertrey Ink. The only way you can get it is by purchasing 12 stamp sets the year before. Well since it is PTI, I had no problem with that. This set is my favorite of the moment for sure. I also added a little bling to the cherries as well. This card is for a May birthday, so I think it will be perfect.

It's a good life!
