Love is in the air

This weeks MIM is like getting a second chance. For me it is a second chance to actually enter LOL! I made some cards for the challenge that never made it to the blog to enter. Crazy! This beauty was one example. I made it for the challenge of having the stamp on both sides of the die cut. It really was interesting to think that way.  If you would like to enter, you can do so here.

Little Tangles Challenge

I am so excited about having time to play with the challenge this week, my first. I am going to send this cutie to my girlfriend who sent in a Christmas card that she is pregant. She is on the list for not letting me know sooner LOL!

It was a great color challenge that you can find here at the little tangles blog.
I only have two stamp sets, but I have enjoyed them both.  They have a fun and fresh kind of vibe.  I listened to a video done a while ago by the owner and I loved the new york accent and I hear it everytime I break this stamp out.  It is called Just Hello.  I also hear the call me maybe song when stamping with this one.  What a riot LOL!

Have a great day!
Terri E.

White Challenge PTI Blog Hop

It feels good to be joining the PTI blog hop again found here. The challenge was to use mostly white. It was a lot of fun. On a side note, vellum doesn't like stickles (or at least my PTI velum cardstock didn't). I really liked the card until I added stickles. Love the glitz, but it warped the hearts. Yikes! This cutie will still be going to my hubby, warped hearts or not :)

I also am entering this into the MIM challenge this week found here.  I totally missed the layered die cut week and was glad to do that now.

I did like thinking about different ways to add interest and texture to the white card.

Izzy's background MIM entry

Here is another fun poinsettia that Izzy did the background on. it was a lot of fun for us to do together. This is for the MIM challenge from PTI.

CASual Friday/10 minute challenge

Here is my favortie card of the day and last one for the CASual Friday found here/10 mintue challenge found here. It was a holiday theme. I decided to make this fun glitz card for my parents. They have started a new tradition where they have the little girls over for their own New Years Day count down. The kids LOVE it and I wanted to mail them a little pre party card. This card was done in 5 minutes and 49 seconds. Super fun! I stamped the hero arts sentiment in black then used my glue pen to add dots of glue in the exposed holes in the sentiment then added the glitz.  It just feels festive and New Yearsy to me.

MIM-die cuts

Okay, MIM is another great challenge found here that I don't get to enter in near enough. I had to make some tags for a bunch of Christmas gifts. Here is my take on the challenge.

I used the pointsettia die and choppend that cutie up. I used a piece of copy paper cut with the same die so that I had something to line up all of the pieces. I made 6 of these. I used distress ink to ink these up and also the background. Izzy LOVES playing with these inks. She acutally helped with all of the tags we made.

Paper smooches take 2

Here is my last shot at the papersmooches sparks challenge.  It is hard to see on this little gift card holder, but the green color is in the hat and the buttons of this cute little one. I also added some fun razzle dazzle.   As always, the paper smooches stamps make me smile!

This was also made with the CASual Friday/10 minute dash challenge found here.  I made this cutie in 6 minutes and 42 seconds.  I started participating in the 10 minute dash challenges a while ago, but they never got put here.  It is really a lot of fun to try it.  I used to make card take one that I loved and was a cas style, but it went over in time.  I had to then pair down and try it again.  It was really fun to challenge myself in this way.

My brother got this one and he seemed to enjoy it, as much as boys do LOL!  We had our Christmas for our family tonight, so it has already started here.

All the posts, all at once LOL!

Okay, I am really loving my job and I am good at it.  I won an Ipad back in the spring.  Ever since that cutie came home, my blogging has seen better days LOL!  I have been up crafting, but I often don't have time to take a picutre and post it here, yikes!

This one was made for the Paper Smooches sparks color challenge this week found here.  I really don't get all of the shadows on this card.  It was for my Dad and his gift card this year.
I must say I am loving the saying in this little set. Can't wait to get these out again.

Loving fall back week!

Serriously, who is in love with fall back night LOL! Does it get any better than getting some craft time in the morning? This sketch is from CASe this sketch found here. Loving that new blog.
Also, loving these new sets from CASual Firday stamps.  I have have 2 new cards for later in the week.

Hero Thank You

I adore these new to me challenge blog. I got the inspiration for the hearts from the challenge on a blog called Hero.  I only have one hero arts stamp set, it is the fabric background.  It is hard to see, so I did a follow up shot of the hearts.  I colored paper in black smoot distress ink and then sprayed by stamp with pearl water.
It really tunred out fun and gave the hearts some interest.  The sketch was from Clean and Simple blog.

Window card take 1

This was a fun card that to create. I used the Make It Monday challenge for this card.   This was my first time using the peak through window in a while.  I made some mistakes and have a take two coming next.
I used the color Q challenge found here as inspiration as well.  Have a good one!

Let's Chat

I am happy to finally get some cards done and up. This is for the Paper Smooches challenge found here. Loved the inspiration piece.  It really made me think of embossing powders, love the color embossing.  I do need to get these out more, loved the look!

Feel better

I am so glad to have had the time to enter in the Paper Smooches blog found here and the CASual Fridays blog found here.  Oh, make sure you stop by the Casual Friday's blog.  They have some fun news!

Okay, I must say I can't get these neon inks off my desk. I took some liberties with the Paper Smooches color combo and made it neon, hope it is okay :).  I have a hard time hanging off the end of a card, but this one ended up fun. You can't go wrong with neon, it makes everything happy LOL! The darker hexigons are actually colored with a glaze pen.  I also glazed the heart as well.  Such a fun touch.

Neon Thanks!

Here was my second card. I am digging my neon inks. I don't want to put these cuties down. Again, this was for Make it Monday found here.  I also found a fun 10 minute challenge found here at pretty pink posh blog that insipred the colors on this card.
How fun did this one turn out?  I totally forgot to say this only took me 7 minutes!!!   Loved the 10 minute dash.  It did help that I already had the foam letters ready to go from the lat crd ;)

Hello Again

I have to just come clean and realize that I am a fareweather blogger. Thankfully I am still able to go up and stamp. Izzy and I love the challenges, but for some reason getting the pictures taken and uploaded takes a lot of time that I don't always have. So here are the cards for the most recent make it Monday challenge from PTI.
The letters were fun to cut out. The biggest problem I have with this challenge is the uneven puffy letters. Oh well!

Sweet baby

Did any of you order PTI this month? I hadn't planned on it, but then I just had to get the teacher set. With Izzy starting kindergarten it will get a lot of use through the years.

This weeks MIM found here was to stich on your card. I wish I had a better photo, the card turned out cute. I stiched around the bunnies ears and then around one of the circles. I used the retro card sketch blog challenge found here for my sketch.

Sparks challenge

Okay cleaning out the stamping room and adding the other desk has been the best thing! Cece my 2 year old asks to go stampin all of the time. We were up there for 20 minutes this morning. Awesome!

With all of the extra time in the stmaping room I have been able to participate in some much loved challenges. Here is my entry for the sparks sketch challenge this week found here.
Loved how this one turned out! Hope you have a wonderful week. My first born is getting ready to go to Kindergarten this year.  I am having a hard time letting go.  Any tips or suggestions with that?

Water coloring with PTI

MIM from Papertrey Ink this week was water coloring with PTI ink pads. I really haven't done this technique in a long time. It was a lot of fun. This is going to be for our nanny Hannah who will be leaving us on Friday to head to college. It is really fun for her, but we are so sad to see her go.
Loving this sentiment, just saying :) I used the galdeolis stamp because we planted a ton of bulbs and Hannah and the girls watered and watched those all summer. On a side note, do you have to remove those bulbs every year? What is the scoop on that?

It's a good life!

We're on the move

Well, it has been a fun few weeks here. I am in major nesting mode around here. Izzy starts Kindergarten on Friday! Isn't that crazy? She is my first to go to school, so I am freaking out a little bit. That also means there has been a crack down around here. Stamping room neat and organized, check. Office neat and organized, check. Now I have to get the papers orgaized and a system put into place.
Here is the card I busted out for the Color Q challenge this week and Paper Smootches challenge travelicious. Well, after checking all of my paper smooches, I realized that I really need to get more LOL! I had to incorporate some PTI so that I had my travel part corvered.
Oh, not only am I loving Papersmooches stamps still, but I adore SU's new ink pads. Really they are fabulous with the clear stamps. Finally!

Handmade embillie

Well, you haven't heard from me in weeks then it is 900 posts in 2 days. Sorry about that, but it has been a ton of fun to get back into the stamping room. Unless I get a huge burst of energy, this will be the last one for me. The only one I didn't get done was the card set challenge. I used some of the tie dye left overs and can't wait to bust out more cards from the cut outs we have left. So many of the embillie ideas I want to try, so we will see.  Thanks and have a great night!

Izzy's tie dye

So, here are Izzy's tie dye cards she made all by herself. She had a lot of fun and loves the beautiful butterflies set, so it went awesome with the tie dye she said.
This was from the limited supplies challenge. Izzy started coloring and just didn't stop. She is a sweetie.
It's a good life! Terri E.

Tie Dye Challenge

This was a BIG hit at our house , the shaving cream was tops on the must to list for Izzy.. Izzy loved the mess and picking out the colors. She does have an eye for color LOL!  Her backgrounds are coming next with one of her favorite creations she made yesterday.

Amazing MIM

I love the MIM Roll the Dice Challenge and this is my last card for it. We just wrapped up VBS last week and I have some people to thank, so this cutie was for them. Love this great Sunshine stamp set, it was the first time I got those great sun bust stamp. I didn't line it up the best, but the sentiment covered that up. I will have to work on it. I am keeping copies of this form on my desk, it was such a help because so many decisions were already made for me.
It's a good life!
Terri E.

Bows and MIM

So, last night I put away the computer and focused on the fabulous MIM challenge. I really have loved this one. I made this beauty for a great mentor at work. She is having a hard time right now and wants to feel appreciated. So for the stamp a faire, I used the bow tyingStamp a farire challenge and the rest was MIM roll the dice challenge.
It's a good life!

Paper Beads

We are all stamped out at our home, Izzy has had 2 big nights. She loved the friendship bracelets , like we might need to get the die and make real paper beads. She picked out all of the colors, so we will see LOL!

Signing off

Well I am off to bed much later than I thought. The one and only Nicole Heady gave my card some much needed help. I can't describe how much help this whole day has been for my mojo. I LOVED the video and learning the why behind the choices she made. I only knew it wasn't working.

Like I hoped. Nichole

Thank you to PTI and the wonderful design team for the great inspiration today. Here is the link to the great post and video, hopefully you will pick up some great tips as well.  Thanks!

It's a good life!
Terri E.

Limited Supplies

This was another fun challenge, I don't have the stamp a faire stamp set, so I used a new to me stamp set. What a hoot! It was a limited supplies challenge and that was a lot of fun to work with as well.  It is getting late here, so I am going to keep it short.
It's a good life!
Terri E.

Mini Book challenge

Well, I wasn't fully preapred to do this challenge, I am not a big mini book or scrap book at all person. I have in the past given grandparents mini books with the girls for Christmas, but I wasn't thinking about that at all. Then I saw the video from Ashley and bam! I didn't gussy this one up, but it is going to be about our trip over the 4th. This was so easy and fun, I will also be making this beauty for the Christmas gifts for all of the grands as well. If you haven't tried this one, you really should it is fabulous!

Knot Tying 101 & MIM

I can't even tell you how awesome the day has been. I have tons of fun cards and it has been the first time in a loooong time I have stamped and made cards. What a hoot!

My interest and creativity started brewing on Monday with the fabulously fun MIM this week. I really liked the roll the dies. I went upstairs and filled out all of the stamp section with stamps from recent releases that haven't seen much if any love. It was so much fun sitting down and only focusing on a few stamps. It also really cut down the planning process because so many of the decisions were already made. I have two more that I did tonight when the girls were going to sleep and I couldn't play videos.

Here is my first MIM card and I was able to incorparate the grosgrain ribbon challenge as well. Seriously, I can never figure out what leaf to put with the knotched flower and this technique was PERFECT for this problem. Super fun! I left the paper upstairs for MIM, but it was sketch #4, I took some liberty with it, but the layout was good.  The colors were Orange Zest, Summer Sun, Smokey Shadow, Soft Stone, White and Black.  I was supposed to use felt, the button and twine are extras.  I had to mix the flip flop and modern wooden mats.

Here is my stamping buddy, Izzy.  She had a major developement just tonight, she lost her 6th tooth.  Oh, Izzy is on Pintrest in this shot looking for her inspiration photo for her next card LOL!  This is one of her most favorite things to do this together.  She really picks out some fun and colorful photos.

This was the second pic, do you see the stacks of PTI sets, yeah this is a wonderful addiction.  The best part is Izzy loves stamping with me.  She has her own wish list LOL!

Make in Take

Izzy and I have had such a fun time together. We are loving a crafting day, thanks PTI for making this happen for us. I can't think of the last time we crafted all day LOL! Here is my version of the make in take card. I don't have the new set, so I had to wing it LOL! After seeing Betsy's make your own pattern paper I was totally inspired.
I used delightful doilies, this picture wasn't working for me, but I did the best I could with it. I have another post coming up quickly, have fun stamping!

It's a good life!
Terri E.

We are ready!!!

Izzy and I will be stamping our little hearts out today. She was supposed to be at the houseboat with my parents, but she has a cold and sore throat. We are all wore out after finishing vbs, so stamp a faire worked out great for us! See everyone soon! It's a good life! Terri E.

It's a good life! Terri E.

Where have I been?

Can you even believe it has been so long since I have blogged? It has been about as long since I have stamped. Clrearly I need to get in there and get going. Unfortuantley, everything I do seem to start just dosen't trun out how I would like. I think I am just fried from work.

Did you see PTI has a stamp a faire coming up? How fun does that sound? Hopefully it will be what I need to jump start my creativity. I will say Erin's make it Monday challenge does have the wheels turning as well.

Anyway, one of the challenges is the first aide one. You upload cards that could use a little help. Well, that is really all I have been making, so hopefully one of the greats will be able to help me get this back on track LOL!

Hopefully I will get to see everyone here Sat!

Pocket Card take 2

I have been a card making slacker recently. I LOVED Betsy's video on picking out patern paper so I did that, but then never made a card. So for my take on the pocket card challenge I wanted to use these papers as well.
Hope you enjoy!

It's fun O'clock!

We just got back from a great weekend and I think this card says it all! It's fun o'clock for sure on the house boat.
Loving the new Sparks challenge site, just wish I had more time to use it.

Where does the time go?????

My baby is now 2!!!! I can't believe it. Horrible mom that I am, we went to the houseboat this weekend and I didn't take my big camera on board. I do have pictures with the i phone, but I need to bust it out still, so this is the we are home night bath shot LOL!

On to the card, this is the first entry for the MIM pocket card challege. Izzy loved this one and made a great card for Cece.
I have 2 more posts tongiht, so see you soon!

Mom

I am back again with a fun card I made after seeing the Make it Monday challenge with Dawn. I really don't do blocks of patern papers, so this was new for me.
I only had one of the bold purple papers, so I thought the ribbon would work.

It's a good life!

Challeng Card

I am so excited to be sharing with you today. It is mother's day, but my daughter LOVES to stamp so I got some stamp time in. Wahooo!!!!! I made this beauty for a few challenges. I did the CPS card sketch, for some reason it jumped out at me this morning. I combined that with the Make it Monday challenge to mix pattern paper and also the Sparks inspiration challenge. What a fun morning.
I feel just like this card LOL, just swirling by today.

Congrats

I am sharing this fun one for the Basic Grey anything goes challenge. I had to whip up a fun card for a co worker, so this worked just fine.
I am keeping it short today, hoping that will mean more time up stamping!

Izzy's AWESOME coloring

I had to share this fabulous card with everyone, I am so proud of Izzy! She is 5 years old and she colored this beauty with my copic markers. I know wow that I let her use those beauties LOL!

Gallery Idol 2012

I have never been selected in the gallery idol for papercrafts. I have won the world card making day challenge before and I have been published, but this is like one of the holy grail type of things LOL!   Now that I think about it, I have never been on a design team either, that would be holy grail material as well LOL!  I made this cutie for both the gallery idol and the Paper Smooches guest designer challenge.
The battery is still dead on the camera, so these were actually some that I took this weekend. I have one that Izzy made as well, we are both LOVING the Paper Smooches line.

Wishing you sunshine!

This is my second card for the solid paper challenge from Paper Smooches. I am digging this card.
I actually used he said she said, but then flipped over the curvy talk buble because I didn't like the black outline. The smaller white bubbles are from the PTI pointsettia die set. Isn't that fun? It is the first time I have used that piece of the die. I also got the ray background from Kristina over on the Simon Says Blog, super fun!

MIM Think Like Nicole

Did you get a chance to see the MIM this week? Nicole went through how she makes cards based on a color challenge. It was AWESOME!!! Now I am no where near a Nicole, but did try and incorporate her rule of 3. It was exhausting! I must say I am a much simpler stamper and it really was quite a challenge (I actually didn't get all of the pink in LOL).
I do like it and I am happy to use it as a Mother's Day card. I really don't think I am going to stress about this rule of 3 business LOL!

It's a good life!
Terri E.

You turn me on LOL!

Seriously, my husband can't get enouugh of these fun and playful cards LOL! I made this one for the Paper Smooches National Scrapbooking day challenge. Since I haven't scraped booked in a loooooong time, I was so excited to see a card making twist.
Kim challegned to use paper smooches stamps, but no pattern paper. I combined perpetual bliss with boob tubes sentiment.  I am digging this combo.  It was a lot of fun to think about and I liked both cards I got done. I would do one more, but my battery is totally out and I can't find my recharger to save my soul. Guess I need a major organizing day!

It's a good life!
