SAF Oriments

Okay I didn't get these decorated, but this is the best that I can do right now.  These are for the SAF pottery ornament challenge.  I used wet paint holiday and it worked out okay.  Randy had a back surgery yesterday, so this is what I have LOL!

SAF Pottery Challenge

I can't believe that I am getting so many of these done.  Not only getting them done, but really loving the end result as well.  These were made for the year 9 SAF pottery clay paper challenge.

Here was the second card I made from the left over of the first one.  I love this one just as much!  I'm also entering this into the Word Art Wednesday challenge.  I was so blessed to be picked as a top one on the last challenge.  What a sweet group of ladies!
I used Lexi's inspiration heavily for this beauty.  I added some senciling on the back.  It has a blue tone to it for some reason.  It is nuts, I used PTI paper and cracked pastico ink.  Oh well, it is still a cutie!

You...

Another entry for the SAF weekend challenges.  I can't believe how much fun I am having with these.  I had to go to Michael's to get the metal flakes for this challenge.  It was a generic kind, but they worked great.  This was for the Year 10 challenge tin and aluminum.
I used score tape and then rubbed the metal in.
Here they are together.  The shine is really something else with this product.  It is too messy for me to use on every card, but it will be a fun one when the mood hits.

Bronze embossing

This was a fun one for the PTI year 8 challenge bronze embossing.  As it turns out, I had some bronze embossing powder in my stash.
I will be sending this to a friend who is fighting cancer.  She always says this verse and it really resonates with me now as well.  She is a gift!

Be Fearless - SAF 2017

This wasn't one I was sure about at all, but here it is again turning out great! It has been such a pleasure creating this year!

Tarnished foil

Well as you can see from the 5 cards, I had a fun time with this one.  It wasn't a challenge I was even going to do, but with the extra time I was able to zip to Michaels and get some extra supplies.  Thankfully they had ranger tin paper.  And viola.  These are for the SAF year 10 challenge tarnished foil.

If felt good to get out some neglected stamp sets and put them to good use.

SAF embossing metal

SAF is still alive and well over here.  I finished this one last night and Izzy got the pictures for me this morning.  I don't know how much more I will get done due to my husband's surgery tomorrow, but it has been a blast!
This is for the SAF year 6 embossing metal challenge.  I went for the color blocking and the fun inlaid technique.  It was a toughie to cut through and took a TON of time to snip out without tearing, but it does look good in my opinion.
It's always good when one technique gets two cards done.

Faux leather journal

Oh my gosh, another fun unexpected project today.  This was made for the SAF year 3 leather challenge.  This idea was from a forum member and I just ran with it.  We are hoping to take a quick road trip in a few weeks for Izzy's 11th birthday and this will be perfect for jotting it all down.

He said She said

Woot woot, Year 5 of the SAF challenge wood in the books.  I hadn't used my impression plates in the longest time, so I made a bunch of backgrounds.  As I was creating the first one I cut way too much ribbon and thought, I should do a masculine and feminine version of this card and see where it takes me.
I was chanelling my inner Betsy on this one  I just kept thinking what can I do to use all of the little stamps in this set.  It is a rather unused one, so it felt really good to bust it out.

Bronze perfect pearls SAF

I was so suprised how much I enjoyed the SAF year 8 bronze challenge.  I had made a bunch of wood grain backgrounds (I have used the impression plates in so long I didn't know where they were or remember how to use them LOL).  Well, I did one with embossing powder, so I thought why not try and perfect pearls it.
It just kept going from there.  You can't see the shine in this picture, but the colors are truer to form.  I used bronze perfect pearls, so it is true to form.

Felt cookies

Well we got one whipped up for the SAF Year 7 felt challenge from Debbie.  I wasn't sure what to do with them when they are done, but we thought about it and we are going to take it down to church for the kiddos in the nursery to play with.
Izzy was in a stitching mood, so she helped me out.

Stamping away for SAF

Well the room isn't nearly done yet, but we are loving it and it is working amazing for our crew on this very crafty weekend.  I will have to keep taking pictures as we get more and more of it put together.
Cece is working on sewing her first softie on her own.
Izzy has been stitching away.  She has made a large coin purse, bear softie and a cat softie.  She is now working on a bunny softie now.
Here is the latest entry for the SAF weekend.  This if for Heather's layered felt card for year 7 wool.  I don't have the sewing machine put together after the move, so I had to hand sew it and make it work.

PTI Wood Paper challenge

PTI SAF wood challenge for year 5.  This one made my day.  I have had wood paper for years and never busted into it.  This challenge was the perfect challenge for the stash.

This is going to my pastor Mark and it is my favorite of the day.

Linen cut outs

Another fun PTI SAF linen challenge.  I enjoyed stamping this quite a bit.  It felt like I was channeling my inner Melissa on this one. I ended up with two cards.  This one was my second one, more CAS and my style.
This was my inner Melissa one.  Lots of details and layers.  I think it needs some ribbon or twine, so that might be added.

Grandma's linen

Amy's SAF #4 linen challenge was another stumper for me until Izzy remembered that we had a bunch of scrap material from my Grandma's house.  So It was perfect for this challenge.

Cotton Twill ribbon flowers

Hello SAF PTI cotton challenge.  I was a tad stumped on this one last night.  I don't have any crinoline, so I didn't think this was going to be one I could do.  I woke up and knew that I could make it work with the cotton twill.

Here you have it.  I used ink and a sponge to complete the cards.
 Here is the second one.

Cotton Flowers 2 takes

So this one was one that took a while for the supplies to dry.  This is for the PTI SAF year 2 cotton challenge.  I used cotton balls and died them with distress inks and water.

This was the second attempt.  Izzy helped with adding more green and darker than the original stamping.  I had to bust out the copics to save this one.
Here was take 1.  I will still send it off to someone and will be fine with it, but it just wasn't finished for me.  So glad I tried again.

SAF Paper challenge

Well, Good morning to everyone.  I am a bit behind on the pictures and uploading, but I am pretty good on keep up with the challenges.  This one was done last night for Laura's 1st year paper challenge.  It was so wonderful to have her back!  Sense I was dying cotton balls and waiting for things to dry, I was able to do two.
I haven't been able to make any cards yet with the new goodies I got back in March, so it was so much fun busting this cutie out.
Izzy will be using this one for one of her friends and I am using the one above to send to my niece.
That is what we are working on for this year's SAF.  We are making and sending out all of our cards.  No more hoarders LOL!

It's a good life!

1st Anniversary challenge

Okay this was an interesting one.  I have never made paper fringes as a paper embellishment before and it was quite fun.  Not sure that I am really liking the application on the card, but I do like the fringes.  Loving the SAF year 1 paper challenge.

SAF Warming UP

Oh my this is going to be a good weekend!  I am going to be creating with the girls all weekend long!!!!  I made a whole batch of sangria for me for the weekend.  Let the fun begin!

This is the image I picked for the first SAF warm up challenge.
9 inspiration
I haven't played with color for a long time, so this was fun and scary at first.  As I as stamping along I kept thinking, not sure about this one.  The 10 minute time frame did help with just keep going there isn't time to second guess.

I ended up LOVING the end project.  I also made this for a new challenge blog called Word Art Wednesday that I was just told about and really liked.  Love that they are encouraging with God's word.  This card is going to a sweet church member from my congregation that is having a hard time of things.

It's a good life!

PTI MIM Z fold

It has hard to believe that I have never made a Z fold card before.  I am low on creativity this week and high on a long list of to dos, so I cased Ashley to the T.  I added a fun tin of cookies and called it a day.
A better close up of the fun MIM Z Fold card challenge for Papertrey Ink.

Cece was so excited to start school.  She doesn't like to write because she doesn't like to spell incorrectly.  What she doesn't know is that the misspelled words are what makes it perfect!
