Dreams

Courage. Well as we start a new year, I am reflecting on a lot right now. Hopefully I will have some new goals to share here. Isn't it nice to share somewehre and put things in writing. It is usually so more likely to happen when it is in writing.
Isn't this card great. It does take courage to dream and set goals. It also takes a lot to share with others so that you are accountable and even a little vulnerable. I would love to hear your goals if you are willing to share. Hope you have a great new year!

Merry Christmas! It is time again for the PTI Christmas scraps blog hop (my unofficial name LOL). Well we got a fun basket of goodies from my in-laws and here is the ribbon that came with it.
Here is my card that I made today for them.
I can't say enough about Dawn's Signature Greetings stamp set. I have used it to death this holiday season. The dsp is Basic Grey's jovial line, another go to for me this year. The tag was attached with button twine from PTI as well. Have a fabulous night ladies! The sketch is from CPS 198.

Still on the fabulous kick, LOL!

Okay this is a card I did back in October and haven't shared here yet. I love the fun pops of black and the glimmer. Unfortunately, I have been in major mass producing mode around here. I have half of my Christmas cards done. What????? Did I write that correctly? Is it really the 22nd and I am only half done with none mailed yet. Why yes, yes I am LOL! Okay my for my own accountability.... today I will
1. Get the Christmas cards done
2. Get 3 more of my Birthday calendars done
3. Get the 20 thank yous from the Christmas Pagent done
4. Make goodies for co-workers
5. Work on my GKD Stamp TV challenge cards (this is only if I am not dead by bible study Christmas party time, LOL!

Isn't that fun? Here is a close up so you can see the shimmer and glimmer LOL!
Okay I heat embossed with irrodecent ice and then stamped in back. I added the ribbon for extra punch. Hope you are all much further along in your Christmas making adventrues than I am.

You are fabulous!

If there ever was a season where women need to hear this message it is now LOL!
As I was up late finishing all of our wrapping, I decided that women are fabulous! Really we all knew this already, but there it is anyway LOL! Hope you are all taking sometime to enjoy the season with loved ones. This beauty has stamps from Ippity. This is a fun company and I can't wait to get some more rubber to play with. Love the bright colors here. The flowers are from Sassafrass. The season has me into finding ways to make stinking cute quick cards LOL! Have a great one.

Hello Sunshine

Where did these days go? It was so cold here in IL today I don't know what to do with myself LOL!
I am actually getting to stamp later tonight, so I am going to keep this cutie short and sweet. This is melon berry ribbon and vintage cream paper. I distressed it with the chi tea duo. The main image is from Cosmo Cricket. How sweet is that? All I had to do was cut her out, layer it on melon berry and it was ready to go.

PS-have you been watching the new PTI goodness? I am not able to order this month, but my oh my is my list ever growing. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Feeling Fowl?

Well we are done Christmas shopping, so that is a huge blessing, but I am getting sick.
Isn't this little guy just perfect for me? LOVE him!!!! I made this for a color challenge a while ago, but never posted this cutie. I need to bust those copics out more often.

Christmas Notes

Is it really December 7th? Have I really not uploaded since November 25th? What a slacker!!! Well, we have been super busy just like everyone else right now. I am loving my new job. It is a lot to learn, but it is really challenging and math based, so I adore that. Why did I not know about this before? We have also been busy decorating and making our Christmas cards, wrapping and shipping to all of Randy's family who live far away. Hopefully I will be done with all of that tomorrow.

Here is one of my favorite little cuties this season. I am having the hardest time deciding who is going to get this beauty.
Okay, can that little Basic Grey cutie get any cutier? I am in LOVE with these whollies and would love to have about 25 more of these little birds. Also, this dsp is basic grey the jovial line and it is addictive as well. The sentiment is a cutie from Dawn's Signature Christmas. Can I just be Dawn? Okay I really love my life, so can I just have her handwriting LOL!

I am also writing to get some accountability here. I have 8 more birthday calendards to go. I know crazy!!! There needs to be a major effort here soon to get these bad boys done and I mean quick. I also have regular calendars to do as well. Hopefully those will just be a matter of putting them together. Does anyone have a good idea how to bind those cuties? I am thinking I need a trip up to Archivers for a bind it all.

It's a good life!

Thanksgiving PTI Blog Hop

First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving. My hubby is working today and I am grateful that he has a wonderful job. We are blessed to have family a mile away and we are heading over to Great-Grandmas house for lunch. God is Good!!!!

Another thing I am thankful for is PTI's blog hop. I love getting a glimpse at everyone and how stinking creative this group is. This month we were challenged to make holiday tags. I am almost done with all of my Christmas shopping, so I have left to do is make the homemade gifts. I thought I would share some of that today. Since it is Thanksgiving, I am going to focus on the pictures and get to the family LOL!
Here is my gift for Amy my sister in law. I am actually busting out 10 of these fabulous birthday calendars for holiday gifts. How fun is that?
The cutie saddle stich flower was an idea that I learned from Laurie. You really need to check out the video, they are super fun to make.
Another fun tip, the insides come scored for you at 4 in. I found that things fit better in them if I also score at 4 1/8 and fold accordingly.
Here is how I decorated the inside
I know that PTI has a die that works with this, but try as I might, I just can't buy all of the dies so this is a stampin up punch called designer label large and it is a beauty as well.
The finished gift. I used packing paper from PTI for the wrapping paper. I didn't have anything else neutral, so it worked great. I also LOVE Stampin Up's big striped ribbon. It worked so well for this gift. Last but not least, the tag LOL!
Okay I have decided that I am not going to order until after the blog hops each month. That way I can get the dies when they get restocked. I realize that I need the tag dies and the circle dies as well, so I am on the hunt. In the mean time, the #3 Mat stack die worked well for me. I used a tag from the 09 set I think. Love this cutie. Have a blessed day! I will come in later and give all of the details.
It's a good life!

Fabulous!

I really got into the WCMD challenges and I have a few more cards from that time to share with you. This was one of my 21 cards made with the same Ippity Unity set. Isn't that wild! It does have me thinking about my stamping arsenol in a different way.
I have really been digging layering the Mat stack dies from PTI. They all work so well together and it really makes my life easier. Actually my big shot and PTI dies are the work horse of my stamping room right now. I LOVE them!!!!

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving if I don't get back here before that. I have 100 Christmas cards in the process and a lot of fun projects as well, so I need to get to it.

It's a good life!

Miss U Rock

This is a little cutie that my daughter made for her nanny's birthday. LOVE it!!!!
We are decorating big time for the holidays since I have a new job that I will be starting soon. As you might know, I am a realtor and I was just offered a great opportunity to become a loan officer. How fun is that! I am able to keep my office and have a fun new adventure. How great is that? With the market a little slow here, this is the perfect time for our family to start a new adventure. Hopefully I will have time to create as well since I have a TON of projects to get done.

TE Blast from the Past!!!!

Welcome to the blast from the past blog hop! I am so glad you are here. This month it was a autumn, thankful theme. Here is my creation

I busted out tweet hearts for the first time. I have no idea why it takes me so long to get these fabulous stamps inky, but I am digging this cutie. The little birds reminded me of a parent and a child. I am sure grateful for my little ones and they make me smile daily, so that is my inspiration behind the grateful aspect of the challenge. I used the curtain call color challenge which reminded me of fall for sure and the sketch is from EBTKS. I can't wait to see what everyone has created!

Fabulous teacher

This was a fun flip card I made for a split coast challenge. I hadn't made one of those in such a long time. It was actually fun and turned out kind of neat.
Here is the back of the card when it flips out
Isn't that flower a fun touch? I really liked how this beauty turned out.

You're a champion

Well, if my little 5 month old baby could read, she would be getting this card. I made it for SPS World Card Making day and sent it off a few weeks ago, but my little one had surgery to remove a large cyst in her nose. She is a miracle to us! After they took it out, the comment that has resonated from all of the nurses and doctors is we don't know how she ate/breathed with this cyst. WOW, that put it into prespective for us. God is good to have helped out little girl this whole time. I am pleased to report that she is healing and although this will take a while and she is in some discomfort, she is still eating and breathing so much better than she was before, praise God!!!!
I used an uninked bella to make the card. I am a tad embarresed to admit how many bellas I have that have never seen the light of day. What is up with my need to own these cuties, but not use these cuties? I am going to have to bust them out more often.

Back with another fun challenge. This one is a color challenge from Everything but the kitchen sink. I have really been in a CAS mood, so this fit if just fine LOL!
Here is my card
Isn't that a fun one? The centers of the flowers are silver brads, they seemed to go with the gray feel very well. I finished off this beauty with some paper piercing and then poped it up with dimensionals.

So sweet

I am so excited to have my project ready on time LOL! Here is the Colour Q challenge. Aren't these colors yummy?
Here is my card
Well this the first time I tried my distress inks as they were intended. Any tips you might have on how to use them would be appreicated. I heat embossed the leaves first and then applied my inks with the foam applicator. I did like how the inks stayed wet and I was able to blend nicely. It really started to shine when I was able to spritz with water. The colors just melted together for me.
I finished off this card with some felt cut with the mat stack die #1 from PTI and some buttons. I adhered with the best glue ever, and I must say it was great. Hope you have a great Sunday!

I am so blessed that Cece is much more laid back than Izzy! I am loving the challenge to take the POD at different times. It really gets me thinking about our every day. I think we are going to get some good family shots!

I also wanted to add a little bling to her, so I used dazzling diamonds on the balloon and stickles on her shoes and dress as accents. The PTI dies are also something I am LOVING right now.

Remembering Dad

Well, I have a fun card to share with you today. I am working on getting ahead of my cards for the holiday season. I used this sketch from Stamp TV. Although I didn't get to play along often, I adore this CAS approach.
Here is my card
I have two friends in my bible study that have lost their Dads recently and they sure will need some love this holiday season. Hopefully they will find some joy in this season. I used a PTI die to cut out the dsp for the sentiment. I then emobssed with white to make this sentiement pop.

Halloween Fun!

Here are our girls. Izzy was Belle inspired by our recent trip to Disney and Cece just rocked a pumpkin outfit. (There was a pumpkin on her toushie and it was one of the hits of the day LOL).
For some reason I adore this picture of the girls
Here is Izzy right before she went to her pre-school party. I made little monstors for all of the kids. I was so inspired by Betsy when she did them that I had to give them a try. Izzy helped and she ADORES hers, hopefully the other kids did as well.
We did 15 and although that was a lot at the time, I am so glad we did them.
We also whipped up some spider cupcakes for the kids.
Finally here is the card Izzy designed and created for her Papa. It was a big hit and I am so proud of her creativity.
Hope your halloween was just as much fun as ours!
It's a good life!

Here is my card
This was a fun card to put together and Dad loved it. He has a Halloween Birthday, so it is always a fun day at our house. I will share our Halloween pics and Izzy's card tomorrow. This card was quick and it really let the colors shine.

Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge!!!!

I missed last month somehow, but I am so excited to be sharing with you today for the PTI Blog Hop! The challenge was to
There is always a lot of focus on Christmas in our industry this time of year, as that is what the majority of the population celebrates. However, this month's blog hop is dedicated to those that celebrate winter holidays other than Christmas. Create a project that celebrates Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or some other winter holiday as we embrace everyone's beliefs in a celebration of diversity through paper crafting.

Here is my creation
Well, as you can see I am celebrating winter! I adore the fun sets Heather designed a few years ago and don't seem to get them out nearly enough, so this was perfect! Actually if there was a mitten die I might use these cuties for some mass producing LOL!
It is hard to see in the picture, but there is some glitz on every mitten and then a strip by the sentiment as well. I used this weeks CPS sketch and the Curtain Call for my inspiration. Have a great day hopping!

Praying for you!

I am so excited to play along with the Curtain Call for this week. When I saw these beauties I knew I just had to bust out some fun stamps.
Here is my card
Didn't this card turn out fun? I was so excited to break out Damask Designs. It is one of those sets I keep coming back to again and again. For me the funny thing is I didn't even like it and didn't buy it for a few months after I had it. If you haven't taken the plunge yet, it is a must do!!!!!
Also, you will see a lot of praying for you, thinking of you cards soon. I have a lot of friends who are going through some major hurdles right now. Hope you all are going to have a crafty weekend!
