Cece and Daddy love

This is my last entry in the PTI Anniversary challenge to use a photo in a project.  This is for Randy and his girl Cece.  He is going to be away for about a month and she misses him horribly when he is gone.  I am sure she will be keeping this for a while before giving this to her Dad.

Do over

I can't believe that this is the end of the PTI anniversary week already.  This was the redo challenge from PTI.  Below is the card I was making over.  I had just got my zig markers and was playing around.  After watching some videos I got the above result.  MUCH better.  I used a bunch more water and that made a difference.  I also planned my colors and placement much better.

repeating shapes

Oh my do I love a challenge.  The 10th Anniversary challenge was to create a card with repeating shapes.  I dug around in my stash and found this set.  This set that had never seen ink!!!  I adore what I was able to create and can't wait to bust some more creations out.

Flowers

I have no idea why, but I LOVE challenges.  It just gets me thinking about things differently and looking at my stash in ways I hadn't before.  Today Nicole had some amazing peaks and the 10th Anniversary Challenge was all about flowers.

Well, I was feeling a bit modern and funky today, so I busted out this set and decided to use up some of the nail polish paper scraps.  I like the end result and think it gave me a fresh and funky card design.

Matching envelope

Well, this was an interesting challenge.  You see, I am the crafter who makes cards and never sends them out.  I mean I make them, write in them address them and then never drive them to the mail box.  Totally crazy!  The 10th anniversary PTI challenge was to make a matching card and get that card out in the mail.

I made this card for one of the February challenges.  It is for my boss who got married recently.  Did it go in the mail, nope.  So I have the card & envelope now maid.  It will be in the mail tomorrow!

MIM nail polish

Not sure how I feel about this technique yet.  We did it outside because of the ventilation issues I read about.  It was in the 40s, but I think it was still too cold to get the full effect.  I do like a few of the panels we ended up with.  This was for the PTI MIM challenge.

Cece's first card video

Oh my, this girl is amazing!!!  Love her tip at 1:44.  She melts my stamping heart.  Can you tell we watch a lot videos LOL!!!!  She really is in love with the paper smooches line.
Her finished project and matching envelope.  We used PIT white card stock and envelope.  She wanted to add this to the 10 year challenge over at PTI for matching card and envelope.  She is sending this to her teacher Mrs. Muscato.
This is the photo bombing dog.  She did her own layout and was so proud of this dog leaping over the other dogs for the bone.  This one came from Woofers & Tweeters.  She is a sucker for the animal stamps.

Love that we create together and that she is so comfortable in front of the camera talking about what she does.

Packaging item

Oh my, this was a bit of a stretch at first, but I am really on the clean up/organize kick for the move.  Everything you see here were scraps from my table (the tag was cut, but the paper was on the table as well).
This is for the PTI 10 year anniversary challenge about gift wrapping.   I was inspired by all of the layers and gold touches.
I have no idea what I will be putting this on, but do like having something pretty around the room :).  I am envisioning a fun gift bag with this cutie tied to it.

More Cece Creations for Paper Smooches

This girl is on fire with Paper Smooches and smooching.
This one is for her sister
And her Dad.

She used a lot of her favorites Super, Chubby Chums, Nine Lives.  She even made an adorable how to video that I will post with that card.

PTI stitching challenge

We had to make one of those cute tic tac toe games that Lizzie showed the other day.  Cece went bananas over that.  So glad we finally got it don.  Of course it is in all blue which is Cece's favorite color LOL!  This is for the stitching challenge for the PTI 10 year anniversary challenge.

So excited for the next week to see what unfolds.

Cece Dives into smooshing

This is Cece's first attempt into smooshing.  She LOVES the Paper Smooches line of stamps (you will see a bunch of examples of this in the next few days).  We have had some tough weather, so that was her inspiration for this one.

She used the stamp set Luminous_Spring for her first card.  She is entering this in the Paper Smooches green challenge.

Super day!

It really does feel like that in the stamping room today.  I was able to make this fun one with Paper Smooches Super stamp set.  It is for the Paper Smoocches March challenge to incorporate green.  I was inspired to do this by my little Cece.  She has been going to town and will be entering some cards along with a video.  Love her heart!

Thanks a ton tag

Another fun card using some scraps I had laying around the table.  It is still pick up, pack and destash time over here (we have a few months so pleanty of time to get that done and craft some too :)

I am not normally a tag on a card kind of gal, but the challenge was a fun one from Simons Says Stamp Wednesday challengeto do just that.

MIM Kraft and colored pencils

I was taking pictures at night and this is what I got.  Sorry it is so washed out.  I was able to get some fun cards made today.  I did 4 different versions of this challenge for the MIM kraft cardstock and colored pencils challenge.  I really enjoyed playing around with the inktense pencils.  I hadn't used those in months!
The close up shows the glitz and glam of this card much better.  I did a blue wash around the main image, but it looks off here, but in real life it works.

True Story.

Well we spent the day up in the craft room.  We are moving end of June so we have started to pack, destash and throw away things in the craft room.  Of course I had to create and use up some of the scrap pieces that I found on the desk.

As I was surfing some blogs I stumbled upon some challenges I honestly forgot about.  This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge about books.  I am also entering this in the Muse challenge.  I was inspired by the colors and the watercolor flair of the card.

While I ended up going with a newsprint feel instead of a book, I think it has the overall theme of reading.  I started with the Simon Says Stamp set true story and ended with this.
