Cece's masterpiece

Cece loved this one and loved picking out all of the colors.  She had so much fun water coloring for the PTI water color like a master.  We will definitely be using this technique again in the near future.

Water color fun!

Here is my card based heavily on the inspiration from Kay.  I was so excited for this one and got this set that has been wish listed for the longest time.  Loved this technique and can't wait to bust it out more often.  This is for the PTI stamp a faire water color like a master.
I added some water droplet elements using my glue.

Watercolor love

This technique was such as winner in our books.  Mom made this beauty and loved how easy and fun this technique was.  I think we have created a water color monster LOL!  This was for the PTI stamp a faire water color like a master challenge.   Mom used PTI stampers select white for this one.
Thanks,
Debi T.

Hello

I really enjoyed the PTI stamp a faire pointillism challenge.  I was reminded this year how important it is to slow down and enjoy the process.  This was so fun and added such a pop to the card.  All it took was patience.

pointilism Mom's card

I must say, this was my favorite that Mom did.  She was so creative.  She used the dots for the counter element.  I adore how this one turned out.  She made this for the PTI stamp a faire challenge on pointillism.  Mom switched it up and used some PTI Kraft on this one.
Thanks,
Debi T.

Just keep swimming....

Here is my entry in the PTI stamp a faire splatter challenge.  I loved the ocean scene that was created.  the yarn made such fun waves.  This was my first time busting out this cute set and I can't wait to create more with this cutie.

Mom's splatter card

This card makes me smile.  If you knew my Mom you would know she is a neat stamper.  She likes everything tidy and in it's place.  She mentioned this was her least favorite challenge because it was so messy LOL!  She used her trusty PTI stamper's select white for the white paper.

Thanks,
Debi T.

Cece splatters!

The stamp a faire paint splatter challenge was Cece's favorite of the night.  She loved picking colors and the yarn drop was her favorite.

Cece was addicted to the gold lettering big time!

Talented!!!!

Here is Mom's entry for the stamp a faire floral impressionism challenge.  She busted out the embossing powder and had a ton of fun.  She and drew the mason jar and really knocked it out of the park.  Her base was PTI stampers select white.

Sparkly and fun

Here is Mom's entry into the gilded with gold stamp a faire challenge.  Love the use of glitter paper.  She used her trusted and true PTI stampers select white paper.  She loves the weight.

It's raining GOLD!!!

This is for the gilded with gold Stamp a Faire challenge.  All I can say is WOW!!!  I am so addicted to this gold paint that Danielle used and I am now addicted to.  I think I ended up with 15 finished cards with tons of gold elements on them all.  LOVED it!!!!

Starry Night

Here is my PTI Stamp a Faire starry night card.  I am so in love with this new way to do night skies.  I love the ink blending and then watercoloring over it.  It made such a fun finished project.  I added some fun splatters as well.  So much fun!!!!

Mom's starry night

Mom is at it again.  This is for the PTI Stamp a Faire challenge for Starry nights.  She used her beloved PTI stamper's select white as a base.  It is so thick and makes a great base for one layer cards.

She added glue dots and glitter along with rhinestones for some sparkly and shinny stars.
Thanks!

My Mom participated in Stamp a Faire today.  She loved carving out the day to create.  She used PTI's stampers select white on her card.  Love all of the colors and how bright the card is.

It is well with my soul

Happy Stamp a Faire brought to you by PTI!!!  I must say this is one of my favorite weekends of the year.  I love carving some time to create.  I have been to so many, CHA, Ohio and every year online.  This was my FAVORITE yet!!!  I loved the inspiration from the greats.  I loved getting some stamp sets on the want list.  Really a great weekend.

The first challenge was to pick a favorite creation.  This is a card that has been on my desk for some time.  I adore the water coloring and the look achieved with the zig markers.  The sentiment is really what makes my heart sing.  That is one of my favorite songs and it really calms and centers me.

PTI Blog Hop!!!!

I am so excited to be participating in the PTI blog hop this month.  It was so fun and I was able to incorporate some of the stamp a faire elements into it as well.  I wasn't expecting to love the gold accent segment as much as I did.  Needless to say I went crazy with the tags and chipboard pieces.
I have two cards.  This one I pulled the great colors and the gold elements.  I loved how graphic the picture was.
Love this card as well.  It played with the great melon and gray elements of the card.  I also did some gold splattering on this one.

Background paper used two ways

Loving the online card classes summer camp with creative chemistry.  It has been so much fun to go back through the videos and bust out the supplies and play.  That is what Tim gives you permission to do.  He is a messy crafter and it is so refreshing!  I love the way he plays with color and mixes it up.  So much fun.  I can't wait to participate in the 103 class.  You can learn all about these classes here.

MIM!!!

I was hesitant to try this technique for some reason, not wrapping my head around coloring on wet embossing paste.  Even with a video tutorial from PTI LOL!!!  This was a classic try something new MIM and I LOVED it!!!  It also had me looking around at all of the new stencils that have made their way into my house.  This was unused until today.

I finally busted this out today and WOW was it fun.  I did modify it and and used ink smooshed on my craft mat with water instead of busting out the reinkers.  It worked great.

Woot woot!!!!

I was highlighted on the PTI blog and was lucky enough to win one of the $25 certificates.  Just in time for my July 1 order!
We will be participating in the weekend festivities.  What is on your list to buy?  I am thinking I might break down and purchase the Mums the word set.  Who wouldn't want a new flower set LOL!

New neighbors!

I was excited to see new neighbors moving in while I was mowing yesterday and knew I had to make a card.  Izzy is baking some brownies to welcome them as well.  The PTI MIM challenge was a great jumping off point!

I haven't busted out the don't forget to write kit much, so I knew it was the one for today.  I used distress ink for the the background technique and I am glad I did.  It came out pretty harsh without spritzing more water, that really softened up the edges.

HUGS PTI blog hop!

So excited to have some time today to create.  I really liked the soft feel of the inspiration picture for the PTI blog hop and the white accents.

 Hope you enjoy!

Pastors need encouragement too!

This was done with the marbling technique that Tim show us in the video.  I used the earth background to stamp with picket fence distress, it is a fun one for our pastor.  He is having a tough time right now and needs so love too.

I have always loved onlinecardclasses and the Tim Holtz creative chemistry is no exception.  Imagine my glee when they announced a creative chemistry summer camp and new class!!!!  Yes please!  Well week 2 challenge was to use distress stains and stamps on a card.  I forgot how much I leaned and enjoyed these classes.  Love that we are revising them.  I bused out the picket fence and had a ball.  Cece loved it so much she is doing all of her birthday thank you cards with this style.

Love when they get to learn and play right along with me.

MIM & Don't forget to write

It was so nice to be able to create a bit today.  I got the Don't Forget to Write Make It Market kit and haven't busted it out yet.  Seeing all of the new PTI goodies (I think there is a new die like this one) this week made me bust a move in the crafting room.

I really like the die that made this card base, really fun to work with.  As always, Betsy does an insane job on her kit.
This last shot I darkened up so that you can see the shading under the word, which was the MIM challenge this week.  It did add a subtle touch to the card.  Fun technique.

Oh My Betsy!!!

Okay I am loving the Pop Flowers kit!  I played along with the PTI challenge this week.  It was to be inspired by the PTI design team projects.  I bought the pop up kit last month and I haven't busted it out yet.  I am bound and determined not to buy any more until I use what I have.  Can I just say I am so glad I did!  This kit is fantastic!!!

I am so glad to read that we can get more of the pattern paper, it is FANTASTIC!  I ended up making two more cards with the paper and cut outs, but this one was all stencil.  Loved how easy it was to blend and the flower details that I added with ease really made the project come together with ease.

I was inspired by Dawn's color pop butterfly card found HERE.  This next addition is totally heading into the cart :)

Make it Sunday!

We had a fun spring break and the girls and I had a great trip to Chicago.  We did the museums.  While at the art institute my youngest kept saying that she was inspired and wanted to create as soon as we got home!  I couldn't be happier with her love of art and creating.

I was inspired by a beautiful sunset and wanted to use a new to me stamp set.  I love the sponging and the sunset that was accomplished.  This is going to Katie my cousin who met us up north and drove us around on the last day.  We had a blast with her and we wanted to thank her.

I used the MIM challenge as a great background element and inspiration.

PTI has a new challenge (okay not new, but new to me) called create along with us.  Izzy and I both liked the card below that Dawn made.  We got the watercolor paper with these designs and couldn't wait to bust into it.
Here is my card.  I used watercolor paints.  I have no idea how to say the name, but the fun ones from Japan with the creamy texture.  Really nice to work with!
The sentiment was giving me a hard time, but I am glad this is what I landed with.  Love this script with the flowers.  I haven't used that set much and now it is on my desk so hopefully it will be seeing some more love soon.

It's a goo life!

PTI Create along with us

Well, we are back in the stamping room again today.  No video, but both Izzy and I did some water coloring.  Cece was with us too, but she is really into her adult coloring book.  Love that my girls love to be creative.

PTI has a new challenge (okay not new, but new to me) called create along with us.  Izzy and I both liked the card below that Dawn made.  We got the watercolor paper with these designs and couldn't wait to bust into it.
Here is a picture of Izzy with her creation.  She is getting so big it is hard to watch.  She is 9 and still really into art.  How she mixes and melds colors make me smile.
Here is a close up of her card.  She used inktense pencils and the new vintage jade color from PTI for the background.  The HUGS die cut she found on the desk.  It was a reject on a different card I was working on a few weeks ago.  It went perfect with this card.
