It's the little things

I made this card for a few challenges.  It is the little things that I learn in the online card classes that really make it all worth it.  I used my wink of stella on the words and then layers of crystal effects to make my own enamel word element.  Super fun!  I am entering this in the stencil class challenge as well as the SSS Wednesday let's have a laugh.  PS really has the best sentiments.  Best day evah makes me smile.  Cece has been saying that for the last two days.  She loves it when we are home with her.

My Hero

This is a fun card for the PS sparks challenge.  I was having a hard time with this sketch when I first saw it, but after putting it together I really liked it.  The yellow accents really worked for me.  I also used this for a stencil challenge for the online card class found here

Caught a bug?

The cold weather is killing all of us here in IL.  We apparently are wimps and school was closed again today.  On a good note, I was able to get more crafting done with the girls and we have a good jump on Izzy's valentines for her class.

I made this cutie for a few challenges.  First, this is going in the PS Sparks challenge.  It is a sketch challenge this week.  It is also going in the SSS Wednesday Let's have a laugh challenge.  They used PS stamps so I thought this worked well together.

Lastly, I am entering this in the stenciled challenge from online card classes.  I LOVED this class.  On a good note, I do get to head to Archiver's tomorrow.  40% off everything sale wahoooo!  I am hoping to get some new distress stains and stencils.  I have no idea what else I might be bringing home.  It makes me sad that they will no longer be there, but I can't say I don't love a good sale.

Love...

This was my favorite of the day!  It is hard to see some of the cuteness on this card, so let me share.  First, I saw the idea about using embossing past then drying it with the heat gun then applying distress stain over it from Christine (the video is great as well).  I paired that with the stenciling class challenge and we have a winner!

This is also for the MIM window screen cards challenge.  It is hard to see, but there is an acetate section in the middle.  How fun is that?  I am also digging the touches of glitter paper.

I'm entering this into the a blog named hero challenge.  The distress stains are new to me along with a new technique.  Can't wait to try this again.

Water color stripes

I made this fun one for a few challenges.  First this is for the Reverse Confetti color challenge.  I added brown as a neutral and some green happened when water coloring.  The heart border is from a die set from Reverse Confetti as well.  I cut it with felt to add some dimension.

I use a new SSS stencil for this one and busted out the water coloring.  I am adding this into the gallery for the stenciled class and the a blog named hero something new.  The technique, stamp set and dies were all new.  I will admit the card is light on hero arts products, hero arts cup of joe shadow inks.  I need to beef up on my hero arts goodies.  On a good note, I do get to bust up to the archiver's sale on Wednesday.  Maybe I can pick up some goodies there.

Hope you are staying warm and have a good one!
Terri E.

Reverse Confetti in the house LOL!

I am so excited to finally get my hands on some Reverse Confetti goodies.  I must say I am impressed with how they stamp and how good the dies cut.  I would totally order again (and will be soon I am sure).  For this one I used the paper crane set.  I really like it and I am excited about what is coming next.

I made this for the RC color challenge.  I busted out Izzy's watercolors.  It was a set that came with markers, pencils and other kids craft supplies.  Not expensive at all, but still fun to bust into.  It is very free form and I like that about this project.

Baby, it's cold outside!!!

Truer words have never been spoken.  We are in the midst of a major freeze here in the Midwest.  School has been canceled today and tomorrow.  I will have to go into work tomorrow, but thankfully I was able to get some fun stamping done today!

This cutie was made for a few challenges.  First I am entering this into the PTI MIM challenge about window screen cards.  At first I thought, no way that I can make that happen, but then bam inspiration struck.  I am actually entering two today.  It is amazing what a little bit of time will get you in the creative realm.

I am also taking the stenciled class and this cutie will be in that one as well.  I used the SSS snowflake stencil for the snow in the window.

Lastly, this one is going into the blog named hero something new challenge.  What is new you ask.  All of it LOL!!!!!  The new hero arts part is the silver ink I used for the snowflakes.

Congrats....

Here is what I came up with.  Now, this was actually made for the PTI blog hop ink challenge and the MIM glitter accents challenge, but I am a day late on the blog hop LOL!  Sorry about the picture, but it was a lot of fun to make the card.  I can't wait to bust out some cards with all of the colors of the rainbow for the flowers.

Better get better

This cutie was CASED from Kasia Curry, loved her card and wanted to put my twist on it.  Here is what I came up with.  Now, this was actually made for the PTI blog hop ink challenge and the MIM glitter accents challenge, but I am a day late on the blog hop LOL!

Blurred lines MIM

Don't you have the Robin Thicke song in your head?  It was all I could think of while typing this LOL!  This card was made for the MIM challenge from PTI.  I must admit this was a hard one for me.  The only way it worked was by putting vellum over it LOL!
I have to admit the multiple stamping effect hurt my eyes.  I must be getting older.  I used two browns for the lines on the flower and petals.  I am also entering this in the the card concept challenge.  I thought this was such a fun new concept.  I'm not sure if this is CAS or clean and layered, but here it is :)
This cutie is also going in the Simon Says Stamps Monday challenge for anything goes and the SSS Wednesday challenge for embossing.  I embossed on the vellum and the numbers.  Anyway, have a great day!

It's a good life!

Congrats on your new home

My lighting on the day I took this was not much fun :(  I made this for the One-layer simplicity restocking challenge.  I do love a good one layer card from time to time.  I got the clearly besotted stripes set and this was my first attempt.  I really like the stamp with the three lines, it made this card much easier to pull together.  I am also entering this in the SSS Monday challenge anything goes

Just for you

This is for a few challenges.  The MIM multi layered images from a single stamp.  This was another fun Christmas tag that I found another purpose for.  I did the layering first and then founds this fun pattern paper.  Love the scrap bin!

Let it snow

This is for a few challenges.  The MIM multi layered images from a single stamp.  This was another Christmas tag repurposed for winter.  Love it.  It is also for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Blue challenge.  I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday snow challenge

Never ever give up

This is for a few challenges.  The MIM multi layered images from a single stamp.  When Betsy says that something takes a bit of time, it really is in the best interest of everyone to listen LOL!  I made this for my friend who just found out she has cancer again and has to go through chemo.  This is also for the color Q challenge.  It was an interesting color combo.  I don't think I would have put this together myself.  On a side note, do you have problems with your SU red inks.  They get really weird on me.

It's a good life!
Terri E.

Glittery goodness

This is for a few challenges.  The MIM multi layered images from a single stamp.  Stamped the main image and embossed it on a few different glitter papers and then cut it up and adhered.  Love it.  I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday snow challenge.  For this one, the white glitter paper in the background reminds me of snow.  A little different, but fun.

It's a good life!

Doctored MIM

This is for a few challenges.  The MIM multi layered images from a single stamp.  I converted a Chirstmas stamp into a birthday one.  Love it.  It is also for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Blue challenge.  I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday snow challenge.  For this one, the trees are bare and the bling is glistening.  A little different, but fun.

MIM Layered stamps

This is for the MIM challenge of multi layer images from a single stamp.  This is one of my cards, yes I am back to creating all week and only having time to post on Sunday LOL!  This is actually my least favorite card.  I like the idea of it, but I couldn't figure out the placing to save my life.  I stamped the stamp and heat embossed on three different colors of glitter paper.  Super fun!

To the moon and back

I don't think I have ever made this many cards for one challenge.  I had such a good time using these previously unloved pattern papers.  Awesome!!!  I loved seeing my stash get reduced and adding to the cards for the soldiers.  Win, win!!!

I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  The stamp set, water color paper are my new things. This is my last one of the night, but with two days off due to the blizzard I can only say that I am really looking forward to the new MIM challenge.  Watch out LOL!

Cutie owls

This is one of the last owls that I colored myself.  I will bust these out again, but not this second LOL!  I need a break from these guys.

I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  The background paper is new on this card.  I am also entering this into the A blog named Hero 4 and 1 challenge.

Hello Love

I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.   Any tips for glueing down these die cut words without having the glue show?  It isn't this glaring in real life, but when the flash hits if you can see it.  Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated.

To the moon

Well we made it back from our Chicago overnight in the blizzard.  Yikes, it was a long stressful ride home!!!  I am so glad and grateful to be here.  The American Girl Doll store was quite an experience.  I couldn't imagine ever spending that much time or money on a doll, but it was such a sweet experience.  I will treasure this day!  What makes me smile the most is that Izzy (who never really cared about a doll or being a girly girl) has changed her dolls outfit something like 10 times in the last 3 hours.  When I went upstairs to see her to bed and check on the outfits, she had them all folded and organized already.  It is so sweet to see her so excited and acting her age.

Anyhow, I have some good news. bad news tonight.  Good news is that we have work and school canceled for the next two days due to the blizzard, WAHOOOOOO!!!!  Bad news, I have a ton of time to make more cards for challenges and OWH.  That means another 500 posts :)

I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  The stamp set, water color paper are my new things.  I am also entering this into the A blog named Hero 4 and 1 challenge.

Last one of the night

Here is my last one of the night.

We are in Chicago during the blizzard.  Izzy wanted an American Girl doll for Christmas and this is our weekend to do it, blizzard or not.  We swam in the pool for a few hours and then we went to Webber Gril for supper and we have been in bed for a while.
This was Izzy's Hero card, my favorite yet.

I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  The twine is new on this one.  I had some a while back and ran out, so I just got it back into the fold.  Another archivers find.   I am also entering this into the A blog named Hero 4 and 1 challenge.

Cece's contribution

Here is my beauty, Izzy colored and cut this guy.

This cutie was done by Cece.  she can't be left out.  I am really proud of her, she learned how to work with water color crayons at 3 years old.  Adorable!  My bigger problem is that she made a ton for the soldiers and I really can't send them.  I am trying to get her to make a ton of Hero cards, but we will see.
I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  The coral paper is my something new on this one.  Another archivers find.   I am also entering this into the A blog named Hero 4 and 1 challenge.   4 pattern papers and one elephant (not sure if this really will work :)

It's a good life!
Terri E.

Background break LOL

Below is my break from angled backgrounds :).  My blooper OWH card is going to Cece, so I had to make a card with Izzy.  I just couldn't send all of these great cards to other Moms and Dads and not make a cutie for my girls.
This was made for the SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  I just got embossing paste and I tried it out on this card.  I used gold embossing powder over the paste.  It was my first time and an interesting effect the paste dried quickly.  This is also for the color Q challenge this week.  I am also entereing this in the 4 and 1 challenge feom blog named Hero  I used 4 colors and embossing paste.

I couldn't end all of these OWH cards without showing a few of Izzy's Hero cards.  She makes my heart smile all of the time!

Sunshine

Let's pretend that this had the sentiment For those who bring at the top LOL!  It will when I get back home.  Why don't I notice these things until I am writing the post, oh well.  This is another OWH card.  We aren't getting these out until Monday.

I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  The pattern paper is new to me.  I don't know where it is from, I am in Chicago for an overnight with the fam, but I just bought it from archive's, so it is new :)  I am also entering this into the A blog named Hero 4 and 1 challenge

I'm so glad I'm yours

This cutie was a tag team effort with Izzy.  She really got into coloring with my new Tim Holtz water color paper.  If you haven't tired it yet, it really is the best I have ever used!

This used the hero arts OWH set and way to go kiddo from PTI as well.  I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  The water color paper was my new element on this card.

I love you

I am back with some more OWH cards.  This used the hero arts OWH set and way to go kiddo from PTI as well.  I made it for the MIM angled background challenge.  The SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  I used the enamel dot as something new (Santa gave them to me :)

Exciting News!

I won the recent challenge at the Reverse Confetti blog!  I am so excited.  They have a new release coming out that I am waiting to see before placing my first order.  There is a sketch challenge right now, but you have use their stamps and I'm not sure if I will get my order in time to play.  If you have them already, you should totally give it a try!

Last one for the night

I think I am the only one stamping away today, but the background challenge and my goal to use what I have has really resonated (it doesn't hurt that Izzy is loving the idea of sending cards to the soldiers either).  It has made for a super fun day!  Here is another for the MIM angled background challenge and the Simon says something new challenge.  The Hero Arts OWH set and way to go kiddo are a match made in heaven in my opinion.  The stamp set is new to me (at this point I have made something like 9 cards from it, so it sure if it is new anymore LOL, but it was as of yesterday, so I am going with it).

More cards for little boys

I am totally girly around here and don't always think to bust out cards for boys, but OWH will need those to right?  Here is another for the MIM angled background challenge and the Simon says something new challenge.  The Hero Arts OWH set and way to go kiddo are a match made in heaven in my opinion.  The stamp set is new to me (at this point I have made something like 9 cards from it, so it sure if it is new anymore LOL, but it was as of yesterday, so I am going with it).

This was using the cut out from the last card.  It was hard to get it cut out, I forgot about the 900 pages of pattern paper that I used LOL!  Here is another for the MIM angled background challenge

OWH cards for honnies

I am a little burnt out on kid cards right now LOL!  It has gotten to the point that Izzy is now coloring all of the animals and I am making the rest of the cards.  I can't keep up with her LOL!  It has certainly been a day of crafting here.  Sorry in advance for the 900 posts.  I will show a picture of all of the cards we are sending on tomorrow as well.  It will be fun to send the package off.

Here is another for the MIM angled background challenge

OWH blooper LOL!

I was so excited to be working on the OWH cards with the new stamp set that I made a little error.  I got this cutie all colored up and then at the very end I decided that I should add some wink of stella.  I don't think the glitter would come off, but it certainly isn't work risking a soldier, so this cutie is going to Cece :)
A close up of the glitter blooper LOL!
I am entering this in the MIM angled background challenge and also in the SSS Wednesday something new challenge.  I am using the new Hero Arts OWH stamp set.

Angled backgrounds

This is another beauty for the MIM angled background challenge.  I also am entering this into the Simon Stays Stamp something new challenge.  The new things for me are the glitter paper and puffy black hearts.  Super fun!

I love you

We had a great night last night a my Mom and Dads.  We celebrated new year countdown at 7:00 pm cst.  Today we are hanging out at home and making some cards for the soldiers.  I was able to get my hands on the new stamp set from Hero Arts for OWH.
The animals are a perfect fit with Way to go Kiddo.  This is going to be my go to combo for the day LOL!
One of my new years stamping goals is to use what I have.  I must say the MIM angled paper challenge works with that end goal.  It feels so good to create for a good cause and use up some of my hoarded stash LOL!  I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge something new.  As I mentioned earlier, I am using new to me Hero Arts OWH stamps.

It's a good life!
