Now for the project. I am making my Mom & Dad each their own scrapbook that I will add to over time. I am going to do a few pages for their birthday, holidays ect. I made a comment to my Mom that they are so darn hard to shop for and she said they would both love scrapbooks. Isn't that a fun idea. It works well since I love doing it and I am really good at taking pictures, but not the best about printing them off for them to have. I am so excited about the concept for the whole scrapbook
Here is my Mom's Birthday card
The matching scrapbook page
I wanted to show how I incorportated her birthday to mimic the dates on the scrapbook page as well.
Here is the same element on the page
A close up of the journaling.
I think I am going to look through different pictures and brainstorm my Mom's great qualities that I want to highlight and let my Mom know we appreciate. Isn't that going to be a really neat book to look through when we are done. It will also work well for Izzy when she gets older as well.
2 really neat things that I learned while doing this card. 1 I am in LOVE with guidelines 2. It is so forgiving and makes the best homemade dsp. I am going to be using this one quite a bit. 2 I LOVE Papertrey Ink's new ink pads. I now have all 4 of the new colors. The light colors rock, but I was wondering about the dark colors. Well, let me just say the new Orange Zest is FABULOUS!!!!!!
It's a good life!
