PTI inspiration challenge

This is a clasic Christina card in the PTI inspiration challenge. I LOVED it when she first showed it and her posts on this set totally put it over the edge and into the cart for me.
Keeping it short tonight!

You make me happy!

Here is my last card (I think) for the Muse challenge. I really had a lot of fun with the purple, which surprises me since I don't normally gravitate towards it.

This was another card that I used Dawn's sketch for inspiration from PTI and the color combo from Muse.

Hugs & Smooches

I had to get this cutie in, I made it for my Hubby for tomorrow. I had a lot of fun with the sentiment and cute hearts from the unique snowman set.   I colored the hearts in with copic markers, it was fun to creat the color vairation on this card.
I wanted the hearts to looks like they were floating up into the sky.  I was going to use the fun lips, but I couldn't make it work LOL!  Kim has a fun challenge over at the Paper Smooches blog to make cards with hearts.  I am entering this beauty into it.  Izzy made a great creation for her teacher that I will be sharing with everyone tomorrow.

Tale of 2 muses

Is it possible to have 2 muses? Well on this card it is LOL! I used the color challenge and also the PTI inspiration challenge. I used Dawn's sketch for this one. I have a picture of the Muse card on the last post you can also find it here at the Muse challenge blog. It really is a beauty (I have three cards to show for it LOL!)

On this one, I used distress inks to quickly color then spritzed with pearlized water to create the sheen. I really like all of the black pops of color on this cutie.  Hopefully you can see all of the bing accents.  Oh, on the flower, I used two different colors of purple, but when I sprayed it with shimmer spritz I got this fun look.
This cutie will be entered in the Simon says show and tell challenge blog found here, the challenge was to get messy.

Loved it! It's a good life!

Muse challenge

I am so excited to get back into the Muse Challenge. I wasn't able to play along for a few weeks, but I have still checked out the cards and they were stunners! Well, I don't know why but this week really spoke to me. I hardly ever use purple, so it was quite a surprise when I had a few ideas. Here is the card by Therese Calvird!

I focused on the colors and layout on this card.  I used a technique that Jennifer McGuire taught me in inspiration showcase.  The online card classes are really top knotch!  I love that you have unlimited access to them.  I have looked at the videos over and over.

This technique was to use picket fence distress inks as a way to add some color and tone down colors.
The bling in the centers really pulls the card together.

I am entering this cutie in the Simon Says show and tell challenge to get messy! Well I must say this technique was deliciously messy.

Plaid Inspiration

I took the clean and simple online card class and it was AWESOME!!! I loved the video by Laura on plaid stamping. It totally rocked. Needless to say I had to give it a whirl and can I say wowziers!

I created this card for two PTI challenges, the first is the inspiration challenge.  This was inspired by Christina's plaid card.  Second is the color combo
Hope you are having a good one!

Take #2 on this sketch

As you can see, I started over LOL! Here is take #2 on sketch #3. I'm more pleased, but still not loving it. Oh well, maybe I will be tackeling it again.

PTI Sketch #3

This sketch was super hard for me. Here is take #1 for sketch #1.

Where did the masks go?

If you saw the last post, I used some masking. Well, they were too stiking cute to through away. Here is the results. Again, this is for the PTI sketch #1 and teh inspiration challenge. Another Christina inspired card.

It's a good life! Terri E.

I heart U

This was created for Sktech #1 for PTI and the inspiration challenge. This is a heavy Christina inpiration challenge.

#5 PTI sketch

I am totally casing Christina, note to self-when she says she used the stamp a ma jig, go and get it out LOL! This is my take on the PTI sketch #5.   This is also for the inspiration challenge for PTI, this is clearly a Christina card not only did I case her on this one, but I also used the hombre shades from the cards she highlighted.

It's a good life!

Happy Valentine's Day

Izzy and I have been super busy today with church and the cookies delivery. This is for the PTI sketch challenge.

MIM I heart U

This is a two for challenge. I almost forgot to make a card for this MIM challenge, it isn't like I haven't been a card making fool, but with all of the PTI anniversary challegnes I almost forgot. Luckily, I was albe to whip this beauty up and combine it with the sketch challenge from PTI.

It's a good life!

Izzy's creation

I am totally taking a minute to brag on Izzy. We had our fine arts festival today and she had 3 pieces of artwork highlighted. One got a second place ribbon! This is a huge deal for a kindergardner on their first festival. I will be sharing photos as soon as I get them from my phone.

Here is her latest creation for the PS sparks challenge.  She used her DQ gift card as her inspiration.  (I think she spends too much time with Mommy in the stamping room LOL!)

Heart tree take 2

I'm not sure if you saw the first polka dot tree card I made, but here is number two for the PS sparks challenge. I used only the PS heart stamp from the new a magical spring stamp set this time. I think the same size hearts was a big help. I used versa mark for the polka dots and that sublty helped finish the card.
Here is a close up of the card and the polka dots.

PS Fun!

There are going to be a lot of cards tonight, we were super busy crafters today. Our church does a fun outreach where we sell a package of valentines and the kids deliver them. It was so much fun to make the cards and to deliver them today.

Here is one of the beauties that we made. It is for the Paper Smooches Sparks polka dot challenge. Izzy reminded me of these spounges we cut out a while ago. It was a really fun card and very quick to put together.

It's your Day!

Last one of the night. I made this for my Aunt and Uncle, they have a 40th wedding anniversay tomorrow and are celebrating at church. This is for the Hero Arts Love and Lace Challenge. It has a fun heart. This is my first card with the new background set. I am digging this!

I am also entering this in the clean and simple technique challenge.  I used my inktense pencils on this cutie.
It's a good life!

Love you forever

This is one of my cards for the valentines day push. Not sure how I feel about this one yet. It is bold LOL! This is for the Paper smooches polkadot challenge and the clean and simple card making one layer challenge.  I am also entering this into the inspiration challenge.  I know it is hard to see, but I really don't do the layers and layers that Melissa and Ashley can pull off.  The masking is a way for me to accomplish that kind of look without all of the layers that I just can't seem to make happen LOL!

The ecplipse masking is AWESOME. Serriously, where has it been all of my life? I am going to redo this cutie in the morning. I like the idea, but not sure about 100% neon inks.
I did stamp off the blue before stamping, but I think it should be lighter.  What do you think?  Anyway, catch you tomorrow.

Heart repackaged

As you all know Izzy is a big Papertrey Ink fan and we love to craft together. Well the challenge to create a package for some goodies was the perfect opportunity for Izzy to go to the closet and pull out one of the tins that I hoard and decorate it. Anything for a challenge LOL! Isn't this fun? She is my creative kid and I LOVE it!

This is the bottom that she decorated, but there you go.
It's a good life!

Flamingo Love

Well I must admit I love PTI anniversary time. My only downer is the freebee designs the designer give us (I know it sounds so ungrateful LOL!). My issue is I always find one I LOVE and can't stamp it over and over LOL! I know some people are good with the oline stamps, but that isn't my gig. It is still fun to create with them.

For this tag which I am entering in the contest today, Izzy helped color this cutie. She is loving this fun and sassy flamingo as well.

I am also entering this in the Paper Smooches polkadot challenge at the sparks blog. The saying and heart is from their new set and the polka dot stamp is a PS set as well.  We are using this fun tag for the valentine's day cookie event that we are doing at church.

Hello Jessica

This card was made for the PTI inspiration challenge. I was inspired by Jessica Witty and her love for soft stone. It also has some Maile infuences as well.

This beauty is also going into the clean and simple card making class challenge.

It's a good life!

Hello Malie LOL!

You know what I love about February, that I get permission to CASE some of my favorite's cards with the PTI festivities LOL! I have been making creations with light inpriations and I have a few that I am strongly using as inspiration. This is one of those. I adore Malie and was so happy to make a card based on on of hers.

I am also entering this beauty in the clean and simple card making class for one of the sketch challenges.

It's a good life!

Glitterific LOL!

There was a challenge of adding texture to your CAS card in the Clean and Simple card making class. I am so pleased to have this beauty. I used the PTI design printables from the designers I used. The color inspiration comes from Colour Q. This beauty is also inspired by Malie Belles. Love how she is able to use one main element on a card.
Hope you are having a good one! It's a good life! Terri E.

One stamp two ways

This beauty is for a few challenges. First, we are just finishing up the clean and simple 2 class. It was AWESOME really! Izzy did one card and I busted out this one. It was also inspired by Heather for the PTI inspiration challenge. Heather always uses a lot of kraft on her cards. I thougth this was a fun clean and simple end result.

This will be a big weekend of posts. We are delivering valentines day cards to members of the church tomorrow and I am responsible for making 12. You will be seeing lots of love and challenges on the blog today LOL!

It's a good life!

Inspired by Dawn

First I have to share a recent photo of my baby. She has turned into a little girl and it is killing me (okay acutal a young lady which is even worse LOL). Anyway, she is a becoming quite the stamping addict LOL! I think it is from watching all of the classes with me. Well, she made this beauty.
Can you believe it???She was working on it the same time I was working on mine from earlier in the week.  She was inspired by Dawn and all of her bright color choices, actually she LOVES Jess's blog as well because it has bright colors and food LOL!  We are entering this in the PTI anniversary inspiration  contest.  Anyway, here is her card.

Unique Favor it box for MIM

This is our last upload of the day LOL! It was the second take of the snowless snowman party favor. I think this is our winner, but I still don't have a clue what could fit in it LOL!
This is going to be entered into the Papersmooches challenge and the MIM challenge.  I am also putting this cutie in the Simon says anything goes challenge.

Cats of Meow by Izzy 6 years old

Hello Everyone, here is Izzy's description of her creation for you.

It is black and white, I love it.  My Mom likes the grey kitty with the orange nose because I used three different grays.  I love the other kitty because she is thin and sassy.
This going into the PaperSmooches challenge and the simon says anything goes challenge

My coolest friend

Izzy and I have been crafting divas this last week. I wish I was a better posting diva LOL! Having her home sick isn't great for work, but it was fun for putting together some challenge cards. This one is for the Hero Arts sketch challenge. We combined this with the Papersmooches sparks challenge.

I wanted to show a close up of the card laying down so you can see how the sentiment hangs off the edge.  I cut about .5 inch off the card so it did that.  Lots of fun.  I think the wood sentiment strip helps ground the snowman.
I am also excited about entering this one in for the clean and simple technique challenge. There was a lot of embossing on this card. I think that is one of the things I am picking up on a lot in the class, embossing really makes a card pop! I also used my inktense pencils to color this guy in.  Of course I am going to pop this into the Simon Says anything goes challenge as well LOL!  Loving those beauties!

Be Unique

We are throwing a snowless snowman party at our house next weekend. Izzy helped me think of two cute ideas for little take home treats. Both will be entered in the MIM challenge and also in the Papersmooches Sparks challenge. We both loved the inspiration for this weeks Sparks challenge, the orange and neutral colors really resonated with us (you will see 3 other posts today showing that LOL).  Don't you think this sentiment is perfect for kindergardners?  I am loving the end result, now we have to figure out what to put it in LOL!
This cutie is also going in for the Clean and Simple card making class gallery.  Loving that class and I can't wait to play more.

Okay, some of our ideas for the snowless snowman party are, decorating snowman cookies, making creative snowmen out of craft supplies.  Building snow forts in the living room out of sheets/blankets, frizball fights out side.

Do you have any suggestions?

It's a good life!
