Mojo for my hubby!

Well, as you know we just celebrated our 6th anniversary. I am always looking for fun ways to keep our marriage strong. So many of you shared such wonderful tips I am so appreciative. This year I was blessed to go to the national Hearts at Home conference. It was a blast. One of the classes was Red-Hot Monogamy. It was a hoot. Of course I had to get the book Red-Hot Monogamy Making your marriage sizzle by Bill & Pam Farrel. I just started reading it a week ago and it is so much fun. It has a chapter to read and then tons of fun ideas.

Well here was the first idea I decided to try. I thought it worked out really well with my passion of making cards.

"23. Creat a serries of thank-you notes. Send one a day for as many days as you can think
of something to thank your spouse for. "

I am also doing a study on the charactics of God. I really like digging deep into character qualities and thinking about the attribute. BAM, here came my idea. I am going to creat a card every week and really dig deep into a part of my husbands character that I love and admire about him. This will really give me time to think, pray and rejoice about the great things my husband brings to our marriage. It is also gives me time to create a fabulous card to go along with the theme. When we are all done, I am giong to put them in a scrapbook so he has them all in one spot. Dosen't that sound like fun?

Well here is my first card. I was really inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch this week. I also used some retired goodies from Stampin Up. I love digging out some of my favs and giving them some love.
Here is my take
I loved this dsp that is now retired. The Balance and Memo are both from that paper. I decided that my husband's giving spirit was something that I wanted appreciate first. He is always the first to help out a friend or family member without quesiton of personal toll it might take. Randy has a shift swing job, so at times he will sacrifcie his own much needed shut eye to help someone out. Isn't that a wonderful quality.
Anyway, on to the card. My sewing machiene and I don't seem to be on the same page with the zig-zag stich, so this was all done by hand. I really liked what it added to the card. I also loved the spiral punch and how it looks like the memo was just torn out of a book. I thought the library clip and the funky paper clip added just the right finishing touch to my project.
What do you think? Thanks for looking and sharing all of your ideas. I love hearing from you and I enjoy reading every comment.
It's a good life!
