Birthday wrap up!
Please scroll down if you are looking for the blast from the past challenge.
I must say I am so excited to have my baby turn 4! In the same breath, I am so excited to be done with our first big birthday week. It went really well and she had her "best brithday ever!", so we did something right.
This is my favorite shot of our little girl, Izzy. It is so crazy to think she is 4 already. She loves her little sister, all things girly and pink, nature walks, family hugs and just being Izzy!
There are a ton of pictures of her friend party, so I will just let you cruise through.
Here is the banner from a fun stampin up princess kit that is now retired, but it is fabulous if you can get it! I have enough for Cece to have a princess party as well.
We just had to have pinkalicious cupcakes. That was a huge theme and she got the doll at this party as well.
I added the fun pink sprinkles as an afterthought, but it still worked out well.
Did you notice the purses earlier? These I made for each little one all out of paper. They LOVED them!!!! I had a good time making them as well. It was a template from PTI and it was worth evey penny.
Lastly, I had to share this fun card.
I am going to be sending this to Mary Sue. She is Addy's grandma and she came to the party. What a blessing for us. She took little Cece and rocked her away so we could get the party going. What a life saver! I can't wait to pop this little cutie in the mail for her.

The last step of our huge birthday extravaganza is Izzy's thank you notes. We are starting that work tomorrow after ballet. Izzy is going to do a lot of coloring on those cuties, so I will share some of her creations this week as well.

My shield and glory
Confession time! Okay this card was started back in August for one of the Viva La Verve challenges! It has been on my desk half finished for quite some time. Clearly I didn't make the August deadline, but then I saw the new challenge on the Verve blog something old and something new. I knew I could finish off this card and make it work for that, but I also wanted to share my inspiration, LOL!
Here was the picture of the bedroom I picked.
The sketch for that week
Here is my card
Okay, a few things here. I wasn't able to get any of the new stamps from the last Verve release, so this is a set from my lateset order (new to me:) and then a set that I already had. The Palsm 3:3 verse is one of my new sets. No one does verses like Verve. They are my go to company for that and I can't wait to add more to my collection. For my "old" set I used Kindred Spirits. It is such a fun set with great elements that can be used as focal points or as background builders as I have done here. to finsih off my card, I used some black bling to fill in some of the white space.
Here was the picture of the bedroom I picked.

Lawn Fawn cards for Kids blog hop!!!!

Well, my 3 year old daughter LOVES working on the cards we make for the kids. Usually we bust out some fun kid joke cards and she then tells everyone the joke we used on the card. Since we just got the new to us airplane set from PTI called Fly Away, she decided we had to use that. I used one of the Verve release week sketches on this beauty. Here is our card
Have fun on your hop! Your next stop is the AWESOME Jennifer McGuire.

Changes
Isn't that a hard word. We have been having some fun times with that at our home. Cece is now 2 months old and Izzy is not so sure about our family dynamic. She LOVES Cece, but not so sure she likes how everything has had to change. It is hard going from an only to a big sister I guess.
Needless to say I needed to give my little crafter a card. I used this color combo since the bright colors reminded me of her. You can find the great challenge at Colour Q.
Then this week is the Verve release challenge week. How fun is that? I used this sketch found here
Here is my card
What do you think? I like how it turned out for my pink a licious girl LOL! Although she can't read the sentiment yet, it is perfect for her. I used the PTI CHA set for creating my background paper. I am in love with the frizzy flower. I don't have the wild wasabi ink pad yet, so I versa marked the main leaf and then used my wild wasabi marker. It created a streaked look that I actually really like.
Needless to say I needed to give my little crafter a card. I used this color combo since the bright colors reminded me of her. You can find the great challenge at Colour Q.

The sentiment is from GKD and the butterflies are PTI Butterfly kisses. I finished off the butterflies with my xron machiene and dazzling diamonds. I did pop up the main word pannel and the butterflies as well with stampin dimensionals.

I think you are Fabulous
Well, this is my last Verve Spring Fling challenge card. It was a sketch challenge.
Here is my card
Now by the time I got to the sketch, I was short on time. I bought Dawn McVey's color couture at the last PTI release. Then like the obsessive compulsive person I can be, I cut everything out the day it came and it has just sat there on my desk. I am so stinking excited to finally break it out.
After working on it with a sketch challenge, it might be the way I work challenges when I run out of time. I really like the end result and the only thing I added was paper and the button element. LOVE IT!!!!!

Reuse
I have 2 posts today. This is for the fun Verve Spring Fling re-cycle, re-use and re-purpose challenge. This is a hard one for me, but as I as stamping away yesterday, I saw an organizational need and then I was good.
Here is the project
Another side
Of course, Izzy's contribution
Isn't this fun? Of course my favorite part is Izzy's flower. She put the bling on herself. I needed a place for all of the buttons I pick up that are not Papertrey Ink. They were stashed away and therefore not used by me much.

JOY!
This is my 4th post today. Can you believe that? Izzy and I have been together this whole weekend and I haven't had a lot of work to do, so it has been wonderful. Yesterday I did a few cards, but then we went outside and worked for an hour in the yard. It felt so good to get out in the sunshine and get active! Needless to say I didn't get any pictures taken, so there is a lot today.
This next card is my favorite so far of the weekend. I used three challenges for this one. The first was for this fun color challenge for the Verve Spring Fling challenges.
Here is my card
I did this one this morning and after being outside for even a short time, I was so inspired. As the I started the day today, I also say the stamping sisters in Christ challenge to make a card about joy. The third challenge was for PPA, which was a challenge to think spring. Well how easy with these fun colors. It all came together quickly since I am so joyful to have it at least feel like winter has broke. I adore all of God's seasons, but there is nothing better than feeling like spring is here!

The other fun thing on this card I picked up from Dawn McVey. I adore her blog and am always in awe of her creations. One of the things she does so well is combining background stamps to get really neat effects. A few weeks ago I saw her do this and it has been in my need to try box since then. This card just came together from there. Hope you enjoy it.

Dude, You Rock!
I am so excited to let everyone know about a fun new color challenge site called Pretty Little Palettes . I am sure by now you all know I adore inspiration in many forms and challenges get me up into my stamping room because of the needed deadlines LOL! This is the first challenge, I am so excited! Here is the inspiration piece
The color challenge
Here is my creation
I also added the fun Verve Spring Release challenge that was to make a quick and simple flower card. Can I just say it was all I could do not to keep going and adding. On a positive note, my daughter loved the little flowers and she had to make 2 pages of fun flowers to color. It is so much fun to be creating together.

So I did add black to the challenge, but I think that is allowed LOL! I made this card for Jeff's upcoming birthday. I still am having a hard time getting all of these beauties out in time, but at least my loved ones are being thought of.

For You
I am not quite sure who this tag will be for, but I really had a good time making it. I am thinking it will be for one of the Grandmother's for mothers day. I actually have three challenges in this fun tag. The first is for the Verve Srping Fling release challenge.
Here is my tag
I got the inspiration for a penant theme from the Finally Firday challenge. Kristina always puts together such fun challenges and her cards are always inspire me to get up to that stamping room and get buys. The last challenge was from JoAnne B. She has a fun crumpled paper challenge going on right now. I added dimension to the flags by rolling the tips of them. It was fun way to add inteset.

No onto the details of the card LOL! Can you tell I just got my new Stampin Up order in the mail? I can't even remember the last time I put together an SUO creation, but here is one without even trying LOL! The dsp is all from the free saleabration pack and the for you is from the saleabration label set as well. I used melon mambo ribbon and bermuda bay ink and paper. It is so bright and fun, I can't wait to put together the coordinating bag as well.
Oh another super fun thing I got that is not pictured here is the clear mounting blocks. WOW!!!! I love them and love all of the sized and weight of the block. I would highly recomend these to anyone who uses clear or unmounted stamps!!!!!

Trust the Lord
I have been having fun creating these past few days. I got all of the Verve release challenges done, but couldn't upload them at Splitcoast for some reason. Oh well! So this used a Verve sketch and the SPCC that you see below.
Here is my card
Now while I was thinking about this sketch and that bright orange, I watched Kristina's Finally Friday video and knew I needed to do a fun flower. I had watched Dawn's video on her fluffy flowers and wanted to give it a try for some time, so this worked out really good.

I used kraft and brown as accent colors, so I hope that is okay. I have just started spounging with my nesties and I really like the fun border it gave. Don't look too hard as it is my first try in a long time and my frame kept slipping.
I also wanted to show you an up-close shot of the flower. I stamped and spounged on the back of PTI designer paper because it is white on the back side. I wanted to make my own dsp, but I didn't want to have white showing with the back of the flower. As you can see I have the brown star patteren.

Heart U
Well I am back with another fun Color Challenge from Moxie Fab World. This was such fun to think about. Here are the colors you could use and they did say to use only those colors.
Here is my card
I think it is stinking cute if you asked me LOL! I am usually a normal A2 card size kind of girl, but Kristina had a finally friday challenge over at 2peasinabucket that was making smaller sized cards. I had to give it a try. Valentines is the perfect time for this since I try and leave little notes for the hubby anyway.

I also combined the Verve release week challenge of using chipboard. The card is a 3.5x7 size of whisper white folded in half. I then took the PTI heart prints set and stamped a patteren of hearts finshing it with the white chipboard U. This simple card really hit my creative spot today.

Happy Birthday
Well I am almost done with my Birthday cards needed for this year. Wahoooo!!!! I wanted to get done this month so that I could coast if needed through the holidays. I think I have one more card to do for this year and then I will be starting on my January group.
This is another of my cards that I made using the Verve sketch challenges and didn't get it up in time LOL! I also used the Embillish Magazine challenge here as well. Although I must say I like this card, but I don't feel I have nailed this challenge yet, so I am going to try it again soon.
Here is my card
It really turned out fun. What I don't love is the raspberry fizz element. I really would have liked to keep the gray. I really need to make another LOL! What I did love was the bling. It was a lot of fun to put in those different elements. This is either going to be for my Grandma or for my Aunt, I haven't decided yet.

Tired and BEHIND!!!
Well can you believe it has been so long since I posted. I am embaressed to say I made quite a few cards for challenges that I never got posted :( I have been tired and hungry for weeks (wink, wink), so needless to say the time to upload has been limited.
For todays card I used a Verve challenge sketch and a color throwdown combo (both of these I didn't get it uploaded in time LOL). I also made this for JoAnne's anniversary blog candy. That I am acutally able to enter LOL! Here is the color combo

Isn't this card a riot? Okay there won't be a lot of explaination, but hope you are all having a great weekend and I will be uploading a few more this weekend, hopefully. I am going to bed in a little bit myself, so it will be a good night LOL!

We're in this together!
Well I have a fun card to share with you today. I saw this sketch from CPS, so that was my starting point. I have been thinking about the Verve encourging challenge and also the JUGS paper piercing challenge. After thinking about all of those for a few days, here is what I came up with.
The card
Isn't that fun? I really liked being able to switch up the clothes for each woman. It really does fit the idea I was going for. I reallly like the idea of women helping each other and I am always amazed at how different we can be and yet how supportive and loving we can be. I paper pierced the gal on the left and the gal on the right was colored with copics. Add a little stiching and there you go.

Celebrate
Well, I am glad to have time to jump on and write about this fun and cherry card. It was for a Verve challenge a while back.
Aren't the colors so much fun? I love how the stiching ties everything together and the bling was fun as well. I must say stamping on designer serries paper is a lot of fun. It went from something I never do to something I think about readily.
We have a big day tomorrow, so I don't want to stay up too late.

Don't forget about my two BIG Blog Candies found here.
I am so excited to share another fun Verve release card. The party is at the split coast stameprs site. Here is the sketch challenge for this release. I also combined this with this fun color combo from SPCC.
Well isn't this fun. I forget to highlight my verses at times. I really like the look of this card as whole and I love sending these encouraging cards. I used a lot of heat embossing and spounging on this card. I did change out dusty durango for really rust. They are similar and I have ribbon for that one.

Cracked Flower
Don't forget about my two BIG Blog Candies found here.
Well, I am still working on my week of fun challenges for the Verve release. I adore all of their challenges, so it has been a fun week. My work has been great, so I have really enjoyed the small crafting breaks I get to unwind. Here is the fun color combo for the Verve Release challenge.
I combined this with the CPS sketch #133 found here
Isnt' that an interesting sketch. Here is my card
Well, this was a fun one to make. I am so glad I have that border punch. It made the swirls easier to do, now if you ask me the name of that punch, I have no idea but Michaels is where I got it :)

Did you notice the cracked glass technique? I have seen it many times, but I have never tried it until now. Why you ask did I finally break out my heavy embossing from Stampin Up, well Gina K is FABULOUS and she showed this technique at Stamp TV today. It was really much easier than I would have guessed. A little tip, the first layer I put on (and where I normally quit) it flies all over and you think it isn't working at all, well keep on going it is just how it is supposed to be.
