Kick up your heels!

I am so excited about my night! I got three cards done and all of my challenges that I needed to work on. Yeah!!!!! My husband is on midnights this week which means tons of stamp time at night for me. Wahooooo! I must also admit that I do really like my neat and organized stamp room.

The other thing I am loving about blogging is the really wonderful people you meet. One of those is Caryl P. She is always the first to leave a wonderful word of encouragement. One of those was a fabulous tip for a fun new site that has weekly sketches. You all know how I love sketches, so I am super excited Caryl encouraged me to take a look! Here is the third sketch from Unscripted Sketches.
I even love how their sketch looks! Isn't it just the cutest thing ever? Here is my take on the sketch.
This is also a combination from Stamp TV STVCC10 which was Black, White and one other color. I also used the fun Gina K April release challenge GKAPRBC. This one was to use one side of dsp, 2 ribbons or fibers and 3 eyelets.
What do you think? I have been doing a lot of sympathy and cheer up cards that I really had fun with a carefree kick up your heels card! Isn't this zebra fun!!! I think she works so well with a black & white card. I love this ribbon as well. It is actually the ridinghood red stripped ribbon and black satin layed on top of each other. Love it!!! The top part is actually a nestability. I have had these for over a year and I have just started using them since the StampTV episode on nestabilities. Gina is fabulous and I adore all of her techniques. Her latest is faux snake skin. I don't think I will have time to get a card made with that, but it really looks like fun so I am going to try.
On a side note, did you see the new Gina K designs April release stamp sets? I love so many of them. I have to wait to save some money for my next purchase because it is going to be BIG!!! We are traveling up to North Dakota this summer and I am for sure stopping by, so I might have to wait until then :(
It's a good life!

Hi Terri, I appreciate your taking the time to leave a comment on my blog. You made a great card for the sketch--love that zebra!

Glad you are getting some cards done as that is such a great feeling. I can completely relate to the rotating shift husband. I get a lot done when mine is on nights, too!

I can't believe you are done with cards through May. If you would like to become a demo. I would love to have you as a downline! :) Right now I am not even done with my cards for April though I knocked out 16 tonight--whew! It's just crunch time trying to get summer classes planned along with my spring/summer open house in May.

Sorry I'm rambling, guess it's time to go to bed! Have a great week!!
