Happy Birthday LeAnne

I am so excited to share one of my Colour Q friends birthday celebrations. Happy Birthday LeAnne!!! What better way than to use this weeks Colour Q challenge
I combined this with the Clean and Simple sketch
Here is my card
One thing I love about Colour Q is it gets me loving neglected colors. I don't have the new Su in colors, so I used appricot appeal and I am in love! Okay probably just with this color combo, but love it none the less LOL!
This was an easy card to put together. I used my Mod Squad (I am loving this right now as well) to make the "dsp" by stamping the one image in all 4 colors. The sentiment is embossed with white on the bottom. I finished the card by corner rounding and adding the old olive ribbon.
Here is the next person on the blog hop this morning

Little Beauty!

Well, I am working diligently to get all of my stamping goals done before CHA. Hopefully that will happen! I had to pop in and share this cutie. It was for some dirty challenges over at split coast stampers
I am supposed to be on a Thank you kick, but my hubby called me today and said that he was going to take the girls to a birthday party party tonight for a coworkers daughter. I haven't ever used this little cutie stamp, but I thought it was perfect. The sash says Addy's 4! The inside says Birthday Beauty. Super fun and cute, well Izzy loved it anyway.

Wahooo! I was featured on the ATC blog. How fun is that! Hopefully I will have some more fun things to share as I get my list checked off!

It's a playdate!

Well, I have been checking in with The Play Date challenge blog for a while now, but I can never seem to get a card made in time to enter. I must say I am finally able to add my name to that great list. Here is the challenge for this week

Here is my card

A close up of the cutie flower element
This is also for a Viva La Verve challenge. I have to make 3 more to check that off my list. Hopefully this will all get done. It would be so nice since I am a bit addicted to Verve! Speaking of that, I just got a whole bunch of goodies that will be making an apperance here shorly LOL!

I just "found" this fun sheet music (it was hiding in my stamping room). The flower element is the PTI beautiful blooms die set. I am loving those and need to bust them out more. I then colored the flowers gray with some copics. This beauty went to my Aunt and Uncle, such dears. Speaking of, the fam went out to their house today and we had a really good time. I will share more on that later.

Thank you again LOL!

Good news, I am working on my list of stamping to dos. I am happy to report some progress LOL! It also means tons of thank you cards for the blog. Well for this one I wanted to use the new CPS sketch since I missed last weeks. Here it is
My card
Didn't that turn out fun? I have had this PTI set through the trees for a few months and it hadn't seen ink yet. I know the horror! If I am being honest, I have a few PTI sets that haven't seen any love. I really need to get on that.

I just love how the little bird fit and the sentiment worked so well for this space. The background is diamonds another neglected set LOL! The main image was embossed with whtie embossing powder and then I spounged SU ink in layers to create this fun look.

I have found a new to me challenge blog called wee Memories. The challenge this week is to stamp, right up my alley LOL! So I thought this card would work really well.

Tooth Fairies...

Well have you heard about the dirty dozen challenges over at Splitcoast stampers? I really have been loving this week of fun eye candy and challenges. It has been a riot! Although I can't share a bunch of the details, the projects I made below are for these challenges.
Here are my items

This came together so quickly due to the GKD set What's in your tin. I adore this set and it came in so handy for some tooth fairy gifts that I needed to whip up for nieces and nephews who are loosing teeth left and right. I think both of the kids will enjoy these little cuties.
I have some major goals to finish up before I leave for CHA. I need to get some things accomplished before I go and add new things to my stampin room. Don't you think that is a must LOL! I will share them here as it is always better to put goals in writing.
1. Complete and mail Cece's announcments
2. Mail out all of Cece's thank you notes
3. Finish all of the dirty dozen challenges
4. Create my card for Verve Blog hop on August 1st
5. Creat my viva la verve July cards
6. Neaten up my stashes and record what PTI ribbon I have in each color so I know what holes I need to fill LOL!

Baby it's cold outside??????

Perhaps this is wishful thinking LOL! No it is really hot and muggy here, but I found this fun challenge about Christmas in July and had to whip something together. As I said yesterday, Jill is offering $25 Papertrey Ink gift certificate as a prize, so hurry over.
Well I had a lot of fun digging through my shamelessly large stack of Christmas paper. I am really going to have to design something that uses a lot of that up this year! It is really getting bad, LOL.

Another thing I haven't used enough of is my Papertrey Ink Christmas stamp sets. I only purchased Dawn's word christmas set last year because I just had WAYYY to many sitting. Perhaps that will be part of my card this year as well.

Okay, I started by punching my main circles with marvy punches and then did some embossing. I then stamped my favorite mitten in bermuda bay ink on the sahara sand paper. It looks a little different than the dsp because I stamped on sahara rather than white, but it still worked for me. I then put brown glitter on the snowflake I put on the mitten. This is my one thing I would take away looking back LOL!

Great new challenge

I wanted to pop in quickly to let you know about this great challenge that Jill is hosting.
The challenge is Christmas in July, how fun is that? I know I need to start thinking about my Christmas cards, so this is good inspiration. Did I mention she is offering $25 in Papertrey Ink goodies? Run over and check it out. Look back later this week for my entry!

It's a good life!
Terri E.

You're just the best!

Have you ever done a challenge and then end up thinking about it more and more? That is how I feel about this challenge from ATC Glimmer. My first card was fine, but it didn't shine for me and I knew I just had to make another. Here is the challenge
Here is my card
Ahhhhh..... I feel so much better about this beauty. First, it is bigger a 4X8 card. It gave me so much more room to operate. Then I only used one dsp and that helped so much. Instead I choose to have lots of white space. Lastly, I stamped a ton and that always makes me happy.
The next problem was no envelope, but since I have about 100 bagillion thank you cards and I am seeing one of the families today this worked out great. Be sure to check the ATC blog soon as I think there will be another challenge in the beginning of the month.
PS - one week from today and I will be at CHA!!!!! I am only a tad excited LOL!

Here's the story.....

Well I have been on quite the challenge and thank you kick, so this is no exception. Over on the papercrafts blog there is a typerwritter inspiration challenge. When I first saw it, I thought I have nothing like that at all, so I will not be able to participate.

Then I started working on the Dirty Dozen challenges over at splitcoaststampers. One of the challenges was to use things in your stash. It really got me going through my stamping room (more on that later :) and I have found so many neat things that I haven't used yet.

Here is my card
Isn't that fun? I must say this was so easy to put together! I don't usually put a ton of stickers on my cards, but since finding a TON of these in my collection I decided I really need to work on using these cuties.

The paper is from the October Afternoon thrift shop collection as well. I love how some of the words are highlighted with different colors. And look at that cuttie pink typewritter, WOWZIERS!!!

Thank you Clean and Simple

I am in love with the Clean and Simple sketches. If you have been following the recent cards, you will see I am so far gone that I have gone back to the stacks so to speak with old sketches as well.
Here is my version.
I used this for one of the splitcoast stampers dirty dozen challenges. That has been tons of fun as well. They have 33 challenges total and if you complete all of those then you will have your name put in for a drawing for some goodies. I am not sure that I will get them all done, but I have enjoyed the ones that I have been able to do.
One thing that I am glad I did was finally break out my Through the trees stamp set, even if it was only for the birds LOL! I adore PTI leaves set and have yet to put it in the cart. I must say I am so pleased to finally realize that my blooming button bits also has some fun leaves that will get me through until I am able to get the other.

It's contagious

Well, it is dirty dozen challenge week over at splitcoaststampers this week and this was one of the cards I made that worked for many of them.

I am blessed to be able to go to CHA next week. I am also one of the lucky ones that got into the copic class. Needless to say, I want to practice my coloring some before I go so that I can figure out what are the big things I need to pay attention to.

Threre is also some new DU dsp. I feel in love with this fun paper, but I don't remeber the nane LOL! This is also the first time I used this cutie girl and sentiment from Stamping Bella. I haven't busted into many of those, but hopefully after the copic class I will be super motivated. Also, those super big brads from SU, It worked on this card, but usually I can't make it work.

We are off to the children's museium today, so Izzy is needless to say, ready to go and sick of waiting!

Little bundles!

It is fun, fun, fun here today! My cousin, my sister and myself all had babies this year all 5 weeks apart. Cece is right in the middle, well today we had our first photo shoot with the three. Cece(7 weeks) is the lower left, Logan(12 weeks) is the lower right and Ellie(2 weeks) is the upper.
Now onto the fun card for Ellie I used this color combo from the pink couch

I used an old sketch from Clean and Simple

Here is my card

This was for baby Ellie. The funny part was I remembered to bring the card for photo day, but forgother gift! What a stinking nut. Anyway, this was also made for the CAS-tastic Challenge to use a few design elements. I used masking, spounging and paper piercing as well. Hope you enjoy.

Tuesday Trigger

Although I love looking at the Tuesday Triggers, I rarely have time to pull one together. Thankfully this one was extended for another week because I LOVED the inspiration and now I was able to pull it together.
Here is my card
I thought it worked so well with stamping over patterened paper. I then stamped the flower from the SU level one hostess set called just because. I colored the flowers using real red, crusehd curry, pixie pink, and margarita mist markers. The sentiment is embossed with white and then I rubbed some distress ink over it so it looks like cream LOL! The punch and hardware is from SU as well. I rarely use it, but I thought it worked well.

Clean and Graphic

I combined some challenges to bring you this fun card. First I thought this sketch challenge was so much stinking fun. It is from Everything but the Kitchen Sink you can find it here.

Here is my card
This card is also going for my Clean and Graphic challenge entry at the Moxie Fab World blog. I really enjoy the challenges there and how they push me to think about different styles and get creative.
I used Mod Squad from PTI for this card. I was pretty easy to whip together once I got started. I did move the sentiment from the bottom and added some bling to the main image as well. I thought the rounded corners worked with my main image as well.
Izzy and I are making some "Ugly Pie", we found the recipie in the ugly pie book, so I will have a report on that later. I am sure it will be an adventure LOL!

Thank you so much

Well I have another fun card to share today. I only have one more to make tonight :) For this card I used the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You blog. Isn't it interesting.
Here is my card
I haven't stamped with tone on tone in a while, so I thought this might be fun. I also found this fun button in my group from PTI and loved how it was a muted white. It reminded me of velum, so I added that touch as well. It is hard to see from the picture, but the banner for the greeting is lifted in the middle and it does add a nice bit of height.
I also made this card with the Moxie Fab World Classy & Elegant challenge in mind. I think the Damask Designs set lends itself so wonderfully to this style.

Just Married

We have a family friend getting married tomorrow and I am so excited to make a fun card for him. It was kind of fun making a card from a boy perspective. I thought this sketch from Card Patterns would be a ton of fun as well.
Here is my card
Thank the good Lord this card is for my guy friend as the outside edges are not the same and I didn't fix it. Why don't I notice this until I take a picture and upload it? How sad is that?
Anyway, I had a lot of fun and will definately try this again. The background grid is a bunch of different cosmo cricket paper (as sad as I am I can't remember the collection, but it is fairly recent and it is a boy line LOL). I cut out 1X1 squares for this 5X5 vintage white base. I then used my ranger distress inks to distress all of the pieces.
My main image is from the fun PTI set called Enjoy the ride. I am so loving that PTI has dies to match some of their images in the stamp sets. Truely inovative and it sure is selling me on more and more of their sets (like I needed more and more LOL!!!). I stamped this with Hawian Shores ink. I hadn't used it yet and it definately needed to be tested LOL. I do like that color, jury is still out on the ink pad. The background was vellum cardstock from PTI that I paper pierced to add some dimension.

So Sweet

I have been on a little stamping roll LOL! I can only hope it continues as I have really enjoyed my time creating. I just had to make a card when I saw this great color challenge from Colour Q.
Here is my card
Now I am not sure about all of you, but I follow the PTI releases every month and I always have a a long list of things that I "need". I will be the first to admit that I am pretty blessed and usually I place a $60 a month (enough to get the free shipping LOL). This month I am blessed again, but for a different reason. CHA is coming to Chicago and I am one of the lucky ones that will get to go. Needless to say, I did not place an order last night becuase I knew I would be soon. Well this has been quite a different experience. I have had to really streach myself and instead of thinking about what my wish list would be, I have been up thinking about how I can modify what I love about the new products to work with what I have.
This card is part of that endevor. Last month I purchased the scrapbook serries stamp set and hadn't used it yet. I also hadn't used the much needed beautiful blooms 2 set. I am loving the new spiral die that everyone seems to be showing from PTI as of late. Well, I have a spiral punch and if I can find it I have the distressed kit from SU with a perferator, so I can do that with what I already have at home. Wahoooo!!! I am not sure I will love all of the steps indefinatley, but for now it is great.
I then added some black bling. The background is versa mark and a stamp from retro background basics, I think this might be my all time favorite background. I tied the basic grey ribbon from SU and then attached a black PTI button to tie the black in as well.
It's a good life!

Thanks for the lift!

I am so excited to be able to participate in the SPCC again. I adore this color combo and couldn't wait to try it out. I got my SU order in and haven't played with it yet. That is one of the things I LOVE about color challeges. They usually get me using my colors in different and fun ways. Here is this weeks combo I combined this with an older Clean and Simple sketch. Another thing that has been fun is going to some of my favorite challenge sites and looking at older challenges. Here is that site if you would like to do that as well.
Here is my creation
As I was thinking about this card I read the Moxie Fab World Blog and found out that there are tons of fun challenges there this week. They are exploring different styles of cards. I thought this might work for the Fun and Cute challenge

So I started with my Early Espresso from SU and stamped with Polka Dot Basics 2 with vesra marks so that I could emboss with clear embossing powder. I then stamped some fun clouds on the bashful blue card stock and the kite from the PTI set Up, Up and Away. I haven't used that nearly as much as I like, but I am going to work on it LOL!

I had to stamp the kite again on white so that I could add the tangerine tango to the card. I finished with the sentiment and then added the buttons. This is another of my many thank yous that need to go out. I might start a count down soon, it seems to motivate my daughter, so maybe it will be motivating for me as well.

I already have this weeks color Q inspired card made in my head, now I need to get that beauty down on paper, LOL! Here is the color swatch for this week if you would like to play along!

Thank you!

Well I found another fun challenge site called Aspiring to Creativity. This is their first challenge and they are giving away a $25 Papertrey Ink gift certificate. How fun is that?
I must say I struggled with this card a bit, but here it is
As you all know I am on a huge thank you card kick since I have a long list to thank for their kindness and generosity. This card will fit into one of SU's long kraft envelopes. It is 6 1/2 by 3 1/4. I like the size, but I feel like there is too much going on with all of the dsp. I think I will give this challenge a try again since it is open all of July.
I used the October Afternoon craft kit to complete this card. It had all of the required colors and I thought it worked really well with the challenge. I added the rounded corners and the stiching to pull to card together.

Thanks

Well now that I have had a taste of my stamping room again, my hubby is doomed LOL! It feels so good to be back up creating. I am still feeling out of my groove, but it has been fun playing. I just had to make a card with the fun colour Q challenge this week. These colors are brighter than I would normally use, but I loved it.
Here is my card
I am really working to make the thank you cards for all of the wonderful and generous people in my life. I am truely blessed beyond words. I am also blessed to have Izzy up with me creating away. She is determined to make cards for each of the sick kids as well. How fun is that?
Onto the card. I really love making background paper and this color combo really worked well for that. I used PTI guidelines 2. I really need to get the first addition as well. I think that will be another winner for me. I then used white thickers for the thanks and mambo melon ribbon for and a white button to finish off my card. As I looked at it I knew it needed rounded corners and white stiching as well. We are now heading to church, have a wonderful day.

You're just the best

Color Throwdown is having a party!!!!!! 100 weeks of fun inspiration, which is just plain old fun if you ask me. Here is the the colors of the week
I combined this with the Stamp TV sketch
And came up with this fun card
How wonderful is this? I really liked the way this beauty came out. I used blooming blossoms from PTI along with the fun wood grain impression plate. I adore this plate and can't wait to add the woodgrain set to my collection!
I am so very behind in my thank you cards. I figured this sentiment would work well for that as well since I am getting a tad tired of everything saying thank you all the time LOL!
It is hard to see, but I have three buttons tied around the bow. It is such a fun way to accent the ribbon. Also, did you notice the flower buttons? They came in with my buttons from PTI. Isn't that great? You just never know what treasures you are going to find when you start looking at the bag of buttons.
Edited to add.... I use a big shot from SU for all of my cutting, embossing and impression plate work. It is super easy and I get good results. From what I understand the cuttle bug works great as well. Hope that helps!
It's a good life!

What did the bee say to the flower?

CPS has this fun sketch right now and it worked so well for the cards I am making for the Cards for Kids drive. Izzy is really into learning funny jokes right now, so we decided to send some of the silly love to the kids. Here is the CPS sketch
Here is our card
I had to hand write the joke and the punch line is Hello Honey LOL! My daughter thinks that is super funny. She has been spreading this joke around for days now.
To make the bee you need pick a pedal set for the wings and I used a retires set called doodle this from SU. The rest is puch work the head is 1" and the body is 1 3/8" circle punches. I added some bling to the center of the flowers with a 2 way glue pen from su.
I am so out of the habbit of writing good posts and also making cards. I have a few more to share and I need to make qutie a few more thank you cards, so needless to say my skills should be sharpening soon.
