Someone cares

This has been an odd day for me. Usually my Saturdays are pretty packed with work. Realtors work a lot when everyone else is off, so weekends and holidays are usually packed. This weekend my husband is working twelve hour days, so Izzy and I are on our own. It has been a rare treat to be home with no work or errands to do. We are having a grand day. I will have to put her latest picture up she is a self proclaimed princess today!

As you read earlier, I am needing to get some sympathy cards and some get well soon cards stacked up. It seems when I need them I either have no time to make them or I am in no mood to make them. Thankfully I had a fabulous Verve new release sketch challenge to work on.

Here is my take on the sketch
I am so pleased to write that I finally like how the corduray buttons worked on my card! This came together quickly once I sat down with my Urban Oasis dsp. I am trying to let my elements work on their own without a ton of extra from me. All I did was stamp the saying on the dsp and then cut out. The satin ribbon is the top black strip it is hard to see in this picture, but it is shinny and fabulous!
It's a good life!

This card is so simple, yet SO effective. It is very beautiful. You commented on my ladybug... Just as a fyi, I used the pick a petal SU stamp set, stamped the petal, but them out, and stuck them on a scalloped circle... Very simple to do. You can use any larger flower as well to make the bug, though Pick a Petal is the only polka dotted petal I have seen thus far (but i'm still sheltered!)
