Needless to say, I went with the copics. I got Box A. I mean after how thoughtful and considerate they were, why not splurge LOL!!!!! Well I stamped and colored my first guy in the car because I just couldn't wait LOL! The second image was done in the hotel room. I am really pleased with what I got for my first few tries. I can't wait to grow this collection and keep working at the coloring LOL!
Love it!!!!!!! I will keep updating with my attempts. If you know of any fun site to learn more copic tips I would love the tips and help.

This card was for the fun week of challenges at Stampin out Alzheimer's. I have a few more of those creations to post over the next few weeks. It was a blast and the support from the stamping community as always was a sight to see. I LOVED how they had challenges for a ton of the prizes. It really made it a fun week and it also kept me in my stamp room :)
This was one of my hardest challenges. It was to make a card with only one color, one ribbon, one embillishment, one stamp. WOW!!!! Not just one stamp set, but one stamp. Oh my gosh, so hard for me to do. Any way, here is the card I came up with
Okay, you might b wondering about the dark highlight around the main image, well that is also Kiwi kiss, I just spounged it with ink untill it was pretty dark. I really liked how it created a frame. In retor spect, I would have put down a nestie to make it more taylored. My embilshment was paper piercing.

I also have been working on some different chalk techniques. My sister-in-law Amy is a new SU demo and she asked me about different ideas for her chalks. I didn't want to do the normal blender pen, so I had to do some digging. As I was doing that, I started talking to my Mom and she said she would like to do a technique class every month again. We used to go to my upline's but she moved away a while ago, so it has been a while. I think I might put together a chalk class for July. Let me know what you think.
Anyway, here is the color combo
Here is my creation.

This month we were to let the lazy days of summer inspire our creations. Well, I don't know about any of you, but there aren't a lot of lazy days around here. We are so darn busy in the summer. One of my favorite things about summer is summer dresses. Another family favorite is our carnival. It actually started yesterday. Here is a fun picture of Izzy and me in front of our favorite merry go round.

One of my good friends is having a boy. She just found out, so there is a while to go yet, but I am so excited for her that I had to make a card LOL! I'm not sure if she will get this one, but it made me feel good making a baby card. I am going to put it in the stash and if it is still there when her little one is born then it will be hers LOL.
I combined the Mojo Monday sketch #92 found here and the Potluck Friday challenge at Stamp TV here. The sketch is below and the potluck Friday was to get inspired by mint chocolate chip ice cream. No problem there as they that is my favorite for sure, who am I kidding I like every flavor of ice cream LOL!

Here is a combo card. It is a Viva La Verve sketch with a twist challenge and also Dawn's color combo. I am totally falling in love with color combos. It really pushes me out of my norm and it is absolutely fabulous!!! Here is Dawn's color combo
Here is the link for this very fun Viva La Verve challenge
When I first read the color combo I was not going to do it LOL! Then I remembered that I needed to make a card for my good friend's daughter Vivie! She turns 1 in November, but I will get to see them next week, so I am going to give her gift sooner. I can't wait to finish the next part. I will show you as soon as it is done.
This was tons of fun and it turned out really soft and girlie. The star was fun through the xyron machine and then glittered up. It is really sparkly. I also used PTI's guidelines 2 paper. I really like the small light images in the background.
It's a good life!

I have to explain this a little bit. We had a fabulous weekend at Lake Shelbyville in southern Illinois. It was the most fun ever. The first day Izzy went crazy with boat rides, floating out back and last but certainly not least the jet ski rides. My little daughter is a tad CRAZY!!! She kept saying faster, I go super fast. She couldn't get enough. Here is a shot of the two of us and then an action shot.
Anyway, I had to work on the Kirsten Werner color challege right away. I really thought this was a tough one, but like most of the color combos, I LOVE the end product. Here is the challenge

Our vet visit didn't go as well as I would have liked. Dakota ended up with 3 bone spurs that were really bothering him. He had surgery yesterday and they were able to get 2 out, but the third is in a really tight joint, so they are going in again on Monday. This does make me a bit nervous, but we will all manage. He is in the best place he can be right now and that is all I can hope for. Izzy went with us on Wednesday and she is absoluetley in love with horses. We knew she was really liking them, but after spending 5 hour around them it is confirmed. I think that is what makes the news that the surgery wasn't as successful the first time hard, it is her horse and we really would like him better for Izzy.
Anyway, I all of these other things have kept me away from the crafting room. I do have a few cards that haven't been posted that I will be sharing with you this weekend until there are some new cards for you. Here is a Viva La Verve card from last month.
Here was my take on the card

Here is my card with the correct colors.
It's a good life!
Needless to say I think my energy level might be a little down, so I am not sure how many cards I will get done this week. I couldn't miss Dawn's color combo for the week. It can be found here.
Isn't that a fun one? Oh my gosh I just noticed as I am writing this that I did mess up and use Chocolate instead of black, nuts! That is what you get from working on too little sleep. I combined this with the Viva La Verve week #3 sketch with a twist. The twist was to use a lot of white. I choose ivory, but that should be just fine.

I have been thinking about the new color challenge from Kristina Werner that can be found here. This was a hard one for me. It was the teal and soft blue that really was a challenge.

Here is when she spied me.
Hello everyone! I am working on my July Birthdays right now. With our vacation over the 4th, I really want to be ahead. I really haven't been feeling the best for some reason, hopefully it will pass soon. I have also been dying to go up and use more of my new SU colors and paper. I combined this with the Mojo Monday sketch

I started out with this sketch from Card Positioning Sketch #118. I still had my chalks out, so I used the pulling pastels technique that I learned on Stamp TV. If you haven't checked out Stamp TV, it is such a treasure. Not only are there fabulous videos every Wednesday on new ways to use your products you already have, but there are so many opportunities to win new stamp sets from Gina K Designs. I have already won 2 sets! Here is sketch #118.
I loved the way this little elephant turned out, so I didn't want to cover him up, so I left the whole circle out. I love that we can all get inspired by a sketch and go from there.
This is going to Ryan, or 3 year old friend. I think he will love the elephant. Oh and this new dsp is fabulous as well! I that it is fun and fresh while using traditional SU colors. Tons of great eye candy in the new catalog ladies!
It's a good life!

Needless to say I rushed my order and it is here a mere 2 days after the sneak peaks came out. They also sent demonstrators the catalog with their first order. YUMMY!!!!!! So, I quickly made 2 new cards and then have been pooring over the new goodies. The first card I made used the Mojo Monday sketch for the week
Here is my take on the card.
I incorporated the Stamp TV sketch as well.
Here is Izzy's card.
