Inspire Me

Recently we have found an orange bird around our home. I think he is called a Tanger, but the jury is still out on that. I did get a quick shot of him in our apple tree and I loved the colors. This picture looks like he is red, but no he is bright orange and he is beautiful!!! Needless to say, Izzy and I have been looking for him for the last 2 days so we could get a better shot than what I got. She is sure she is a secret spy and she keeps putting her hands up by her eyes to signify she has on her secret spy glasses that help her see things that everyone else can not. How stinking funny is that? She also tip toes around the yard looking for "Mr. Oragnie" Seriously she is so stinking cute right now. Here is the sketch I used for my card. Card Patterns #13 and I really enjoyed it. I also looked at the bigger square as a space for my butterflies rather than a real block.
Here is my take on the sketch and "Mr. Orangie's" picture.
What do you think? I love the saying "Inspire Me!" from the Papertrey Ink set Handwritten Notes set. I am not passing judgement on the Sweet Blush color yet until I get my reinker next month. I have a feeling once I get some accurate ink I am going to love it. I did stamp it on this card, but it is just so hard to see it. I also inked up my retro background basics in snow white on my card. What do you think?
This is for one of my girls in my Bible Study group. I am going to make each of them a card and all will have the same sentiment, so you will all be seeing that again soon. Each of those girls are so special to me and I can't wait to share that with them.
It's a good life!

Love how you placed the butterflies for the one rectangular element. They look fabulous stamped on vellum. Great card - thanks for joining us!

Terri, thanks for your kind comment on my blog! I am fascinated by your pretty card here! So cool! I am also thrilled at your picture of what might be a Scarlet Tanager! How lucky you are! I saw my first Baltimore Oriole of the season this year---that is always a thrill for me! How cool you are involving your little girl too!
I think it is wonderful that you make all these cards for your Bible study girls...I only have three and I can barely get any made for them....I just need to dedicate some time to it!
TFS!
